BY SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION YOU RECOGNISE THAT WHILE YOU WILL SPEND SOME TIME RPING AS THE MEDICINE CATS APPRENTICE IT IS ONLY FOR THE 3 MONTH DURATION OF THE PLOT! SO WHILE YOU WILL HOLD A HR POSITION WITH THE RULES THE ROLE ENTAILS IT WILL ONLY BE FOR THE 3 MONTHS MAX

With that outta the way let me explain! So after his total public breakdown Snakeheart has been making his way along the tough road of recovery and learning to be a better person but healing (especially emotional healing) is never really smooth. As such while Snakeheart recognizes that he needs and apprentice his first try is going to go horribly wrong so he learns to reflect on his issues with the medicine cat apprentice role and himself so he can grow to be a better cat.

It’ll go like this:
Snakeheart, recognizing he needs help and unwilling to further burden the healing helpers who have been charitably helping him so far, goes out looking for an apprentice among his clanmates. Finding someone who both seems fitting for the role and agrees to be his apprentice he will have this announced to the clan and things will progress as they normally do with apprentices. (ie: meeting the other medicine cats, starcave stuff, herb learning ect) (Note at this time Snakeheart will believe something’s out there he’s not 100% its starclan. All he knows is he’s woefully disconnected from it so may believe messages received from his apprentice)
However even at the beginning things arn’t going smoothly; Snakeheart is a horrible teacher and has some hang ups about the rank in general that makes this a rough ride for the apprentice and they aren’t perfect either. In some small way they just don’t suit the role or learning under Snakeheart and the situation starts to turn sour on both sides.
Finally the big event happens. By some twist of fate be it blow out fight, the apprentice deciding they don’t wish to be a medicine cat anymore, or freak accident the apprentice is removed from the medicine cats apprentice role leaving Snakeheart to learn from this experience in their wake.

Requirements:
-YOU MUST BE WILLING TO LOSE THIS RANK WITHIN 3 MONTH OF GETTING IT MAXIMUM
-Seriously I will be making sure you are aware and agree to this condition several times this is only a plot linked rank don’t ask to keep it or get upset when it happens if you get this you agreed to it no take backsies. You’ll still have to comply with the hr rules though.
-Any rank can apply for this (kits, apps, warriors, even elders but queens are barred, Snakeheart refuses to rob anyone of a parent)
-You must qualify under the high rank selection guidelines
-Your cat must have some attribute to make Snakeheart select them for this role (Examples: they are the subject of a false/fake prophesy, they have a dream of starclan, they take an interest or skill in herbs, they show themselves to be a caretaker type cat, or any other reason he’d choose them)
-Your cat must have some negative attribute that causes issues (Examples: aversion to blood/sickness/infection/herbs/anything related to the role, panicky in tense situations, grows to hate Snakeheart, grows to have Snakehearts methods, Stanch starclan believer and unhappy Snakeheart is not, just an arrogant jerk, lazy, or anything negative)
-And finally your cat/application must have something to remove them from the rank!
How this occurs is up to you but it must permanently take your cat out of the role and can be as small as they no longer want to be a medicine cat or as big as them dying. Up to you but here’s some potential examples if you want inspiration:
Takes a mate and gets caught, hates snakeheart and quits after an argument, animal attack leaves them unable to heal so has to be retired, killed by (probably) Dawnstar, is too friendly with shadowclan or thunderclan (only Bounceberry is exempt from this he’s cool), betrays riverclan, leaves to become a rogue, messes up so badly they kill someone and is fired, tries to kill a clanmate, drowns in a freak accident, dies saving a life, legit anything.

Wants but not needs:
-Someone very active, there’s lots to do and the more active you are the better!
-Give me something to work with! Short posts can be hard to respond to and I would prefer a partner who can provide at least a few sentences in their replies.
-A big bold personality. As this is only temporary you can go nuts with whoever you apply for the role they don’t even have to be a good cat they can be terrible and mean or peppy and obnoxious maybe even fanatical I’d just like something other then the ‘calm caring and happy medicine cat’ trope
-Someone who hasn't asked me for the role before, as the behavior is disrespectful and against the spirit of being a high rank.
-A detailed character page or a bio with visual references is something I really enjoy and makes things easier for me but its not totally necessary.

Personality: sweet energetic and helpful! He's a really kind kit with his mother dead and his brother Stormpelt a warrior he's been lonely with nothing to do. He loves the smell of herbs and helping anyone with anything.
Appearance: White with dark blue eyes.
Anything special they stand out for?: HE stands out for being a clam kit other then all the others.
What positive attribute would Snakeheart choose them for: Being calm and a skillful learner.
What negative attribute would cause strife: Maybe asking to many questions.

Why would your cat lose the role?: Ask to many questions and maybe something else I dont really have Ideas maybe messing up on healing once?

Anything special they stand out for?
She knows how to take care of cats since she's had to take care of herself since she was weaned. She's had some practice in making cats happy with Snakeheart and even though she can be immature most of the time, she wouldn't think that the healing of a cat would be funny.

What positive attribute would Snakeheart chose them for
For her caretaking abilities and would be able to keep an eye on Snakeheart as he starts healing emotionally. She would also be able to calm down any cats who are having some problems because they have really serious injuries and it would make Snakeheart's job easier.

What negative attribute would cause strife
Her being immature and impatient. She can sometimes get distracted easily so that could be a problem too. Keeping this short because they have a good relationship

Of course! Though having a longer high rank would be cool, I want to see how compatible I would be with such a high role before deciding if I want to reach for a more longer high rank place.

So, this is the form that I made when I first made the idea for Lavenderkit
 

*Gender/Pronouns:
Genderfluid, She/her, he/him, they/them, though she'll start of as a she-cat, switching to trans tom for a while, then non-binary until settling on genderfluid.

*Sexuality:
Pansexual, though she'll be switching through sexualities when he's questioning
their gender. When she's a she-cat at first, she'll be straight, when she switches to trans tom he'll be gay, then when he switches to non-binary they'll be bisexual, then when they become genderfluid she'll be pansexual.

*Personality:
Before she starts questioning herself, she'll be a super joyful kit, always getting into mischief and bothering everyone. She'll be very demanding and trying to get whatever she wants. When she starts questioning herself and switching through genders and sexualities, he'll be going through a dark phase, sort of. They'll become closed off and be rough to others, often becoming quiet. She'll go along with what others want and will be really sensitive. He'll like to spend some alone time a lot. Then, when they figure themselves out, she'll be very protective of those that he loves because they've been through a lot and won't like those she loves to have a hard time. He'll mostly start acting like they acted before but she'll be a lot more protective, mostly banning a lot of dangerous stuff for those he loves and they'll be firm.

So, I want to continue with the ideas I had for her and that means making her a closed and lonely baby. That could totally happen during her short medicine cat apprentice role, meaning that she'll be sulking around camp and not be super helpful, Snakeheart having to come and fix her mistakes to the point that he's like, she can't be in the role anymore, she's making too many mistakes and it's a risk to the health of others. It's not really creative but it's the best that I have that will follow through with my plans with her.

Personality:

Willowkit has always been odd. Having figured them selve out at such a young age it not very common. Oddkit usually try’s to see the world from a different angle wether it’s a more of an up beat angle or the opposite. They are very good at finding solutions. Oddkit try’s to find the answer to every solution and frustrates themselve if they don’t get it right. Oddkit is the polar opposite to Snakeheart and is very loving and kind, they find it easy to sooth worried kin and wary patients. They love collecting herbs and likes to call a hearb patrol ‘plant catching’. Oddkit is very curious and loves learning new things, even if it gets them into trouble.
Appearance:

Build:

Oddkit is a more slender cat 89% legs with large ears. There body is smaller and they have a long neck.

Face:

Oddkit has wide bright highlighter yellow eyes and a long muzzle there ears are long and tufted with lots of fluff.

Tail:

Oddkits tail is long and puffy taking up most of there body length.

Pelt:

Oddkit has a pretty shaded brown and grey pelt. She is a fluffy Norwegian Forest Cat (though it’s hard to tell cat breeds in Warriors) her fur gets tangly quickly so she cleans it multiple times per day.

Anything special they stand out for?:
Oddkit absolutely ADORES StarClan, the fact that they watch over the Warriors and are so very wise. They also have a love for anything plant related and is very interested in herbs and what they do.

What positive attribute would Snakeheart chose them for: oddkit is very curious about herbs amd what they do. They would probably come into the den one day and ask TONS of questions.

What negative attribute would cause strife: Oddkit has very bad social anxiety and hates large crowds, the naming ceremony might not go to well for them!

Do you acknowledge and accept that if you get this role it is temporary for only 3 months maximum after gaining it?: yes, i am completely fine with this. It’s like a trial run for if I get any other high rank.

Why would your cat lose the role?: I have it all planned out *evil laugh*

Oddkit will be attacked by a fox while ‘herb catching’ and will be horribly wounded. After a couple days in the medicine den fighting for there life they will accept there fate giving a couple of words of wisdom for Snakeheart they will slowly take there place among the starry ancestors.

Anything else you want me to know about?: whenever it says Oddkit, pretend it says Willowkit please!

What positive attribute would Snakeheart chose them for: Probably his charisma and energy. He is great with cats, and would have a wonderful bedside manner, not to mention he would be eager (in the beginning) to learn.

What negative attribute would cause strife: Goose gets burnt out on thing pretty quickly, and doesn't have a great attention span. He would lose interest after a few months and stop trying. Also, he is slowly falling in love with a WC apprentice, and I plan on him leaving to be a WC cat some time in the future (won't happen for a lil while, but might end up being relavent)

Do you acknowledge and accept that if you get this role it is temporary for only 3 months maximum after gaining it?: Absolutely!! Goosey would be terrible for this role, otherwise XD

Why would your cat lose the role?: He may quit himself, his secret love could be discovered, he could pull a particularly nasty prank... there are definitely some options we could select from.

Anything else you want me to know about?: I think it would be hilarious if Goosepaw got the role whilst trying to worm his way out of trouble. For instance, he's getting into mischief, Snakeheart catches him, and in his floundering to explain what he's doing, he somehow plants the seed in Snakeheart's mind for him as a potential med cat apprentice. Detail can be provided if needed.

Hm..probably the fact that she was mentored by Hawthornmist for a little bit, I believe he was one of Snakehearts helpers. Probably also that she’s mostly taken care of herself for awhile in Riverclan, also that she’s rather loud.
What positive attribute would Snakeheart chose them for:
Most likely because of three specific character traits she has, those being kind, calm and benevolent. Reedpaw has always been kind to those around her, it’s hardly heard of for her being crud or even mean towards other apprentices and kits around her. Sometimes she struggles to remember names because there’s just so much going on in her head, but she means no ill intent with it, even if it can be seen as rude. Her calmness has been known to show through in hard situations, even when Riverclan and Thunderclan were fighting, somehow little kit Reed had kept a calm and cool head throughout it. She understood what was happening, watched cats leave and go for the battle, and yet seemed totally relaxed as she attempted to push those thoughts away. She’s great in stressful situations, even if she gets a bit snippy. Lastly, Reedpaw always means well in whatever she’s doing. Even if it doesn’t always seem that way, she tries to strive to make every situation have well meaning and attempt to keep a positive and peppy side no matter what.
What negative attribute would cause strife:
Most likely her nosiness and the fact that she’s childish. Reedpaw wants to know what’s happening, when it’s happening, and what others are saying about it. She wants to know who you’re speaking with or what you may be speaking about. It’s not uncommon for her to literally shove her muzzle into a finger or stand off to the side and listen to what’s happening. But she’s also rather childish, Reedpaw is known to certainly act like a kit in certain moments and to be far too bouncy and excitable. It makes her a lot easier for kits to hang around, but not as easy for warriors, older apprentices and elders to be around unless they have a similar trait or can put up with her. She also reacts to things like a child, giggling with a bit of immaturity or not want to be seen as a disappointment in someone’s eyes. She’ll get overly emotional if she fails something, even if it’s small thing she struggles to keep her emotion under control.

Why would your cat lose the role?:
Ok, so I have this idea and I’ve already cleared it with the other person that would be involved.
Currently, Reedpaw is really struggling with her love life. She has a crush on one of her friends and she’s realizing this slowly, but she knows her friend also has a crush on someone else who is another friend of hers and in the friend group she has. This is causing her to push herself into loving another cat and this will be a rather toxic relationship, not abusive toxic, more a co-dependent toxicity. This part of the plot was already planned out and has been set in motion as it’s going to happen either way. However, when Snakeheart chooses Reedpaw as the MCA she will be rather excited about it and be ready to put her thoughts towards it in the start. But..Reedpaw just can’t get over her current love life predicament and keeps thinking of her current and actual crush, resulting in her going behind Snakehearts back and continuing her relationship with the toxic cat, even though she knows that she shouldn’t be getting into a romantic relationship. She’ll try to keep it a secret for as long as possible, but eventually Snakeheart will find out that little Reed has been going behind his back and seeing this cat when she’s not supposed to, making them both realize she’s simply not cut out for being a medicine cat and ending her apprenticeship under Snakeheart.
We could also slide in the fact that she’s terrified of Kestrelstar, it’s not that she has a bad opinion she’s just scared of him.

This will kinda be a test run for me to see if I want or could even handle a longer high rank. Also, perhaps they could interact later on when Reeds a warrior, she might be a queen in her young warrior moons.
