Ebonyfang's Training Territory

-->Ebonyfang the newly buff<--
It had been a moons since he had left Shadowclan to make himself more stronger. He already looked like he was. Instead of his more scrawny arms they were now more muscular. He had let himself go too long. Having kits and being a medicine cat did little on his body. Not that he regretted none of them. He had thought about his kits. How was he supposed to train them to be stronger when he wasn't strong himself. That would change now.

The Tom moved over to a tall tree with a bunch of claw marks. He had climbed it many times before and never once made it to the top. It was one of the training things he did to make himself the way he was. Ebonyfang took his claws into the tree trunk before, forcing himself up. It was easy to get up now that he wasn't weak. He made his way to the halfway mark where he always had to stop, but he was ready to take it onto the next stop which was the top. He was a tiny bit tired, but he didn't take no notice. He hooked his claws into the top of the trunk and pushed himself up. He went up to the top and sat on one of the branches.

Ebonyfang looked down below him. He was proud that he actually had made it. That called for a little nap right here. He laid down with his front paws dangling off the branch. He closed his eyes and felt himself drift off to sleep. That was until he heard a noise. There was somebody in his tertitory. He stayed where he was and was ready to pounce on whoever was there.

Condorcall | Replying to Open Rp

The autumn air chilled his skin as he sauntered beside of border of the ShadowClan terrain. Condorcall paid little mind to the frigid cold however as he raised his head towards the towering pines above his cranium. A hum sounded in his vocals, analyzing the subtle movements from above and taking note of the darkening squirrels that scampered from branch to branch. To maneuver through the pines with such ease, he thought, was an ability to be appreciated. Condorcall saw few if not any ShadowClan warriors navigating the tall trees from above, it was taboo. ShadowClan simply did not mingle with heights as well as their rivals in ThunderClan whose main source of prey inhabited the tall oaks scattered throughout their border. Though if acquiring the assets of all four Clans, would ShadowClan not be more efficient when it came to battle against their claws? It would be a thought not spoken aloud to his peers. Condorcall did not involve himself in the politics of the Clan, knowing far too well the misfortune it had brought his ancestors in the past. He was never one to stray from customs.

Shaking his head and puffing his fur to shield him from the frigidness, Condorcall had opted to continue his travels, indifferent to the Clans, but appreciative of the land that surrounded him. But before he could lift his paws to continue his agile walk throughout the undergrowth, a sight caught his apricot eye. Amongst the autumn hues, Condorcall sighted the black pelt of a former warrior he had not been familiar with. Though others may have recognized his dark coat, Condorcall did not. It appeared as though Ebonyfang was but a stranger in the eyes of the young warrior whose curiosity drove him to stand beneath the tree the other occupied.

Parting his jaws, a call was held on his tongue before being swallowed at the tip. He mused at the location of the cat, tail twitching in interest as his gaze bounced from branch to branch, obviously conjuring up the image of how the tomcat reached his site and judging how successful he would be if he attempted the same. Condorcall squared his shoulders. The branches of the pines were nowhere near the grith of the willow trees he frequented. They were thin, feeble. It made Condorcall nervous that the branch would not hold him at all, but he prevailed. With a powerful leap that propelled the dark warrior from the shady floor, the tomcat was able to hook his long claws around the bark of the fir tree, heaving himself up to the branch where he was able to gain stability. He breathed. The first leap had been triumphant.

Looking towards the second branch, Condorcall repeated the motion before, hooking his claws around the wood, but staggering slightly as gravity opted for his fall. However, he managed but decided against trying his luck. Instead, the maned warrior lifted his head, emitting a breath before speaking and calling the attention of the loitering cat. "Agility must be in your step to navigate the denseness of the fir trees." He remarked, whiskers twitching. "ShadowClan does not take kindly to intrusions, however. Clan cat or not, if one sees you lingering so close to our border, claws will be unsheathed."

Re: Ebonyfang's Training Territory

-->Ebonyfang<--
The former medicine cat felt the sun begin to peek out a bit and touch his fur, but it was soon gone within seconds. He relaxed from the sound as it was a mouse that had scurried by. Ebonyfang glanced over at the Shadowclan border. In the next couple of days, he would return now, but he had to do something that would surely blow his cousin Dawnstar's mind. He had to. He let her and Icestar down and he would no more. He was strong and he would pass down his strength to his boys when he got back. Oh, he missed his kits so much. Would they be happy to see him back? Of course. They needed him to be a strong warrior instead of a disappointment. His mate Fiercefire was probably even missing him. They must know he did it for a reason. He did it for them.

Ebonyfang heard an owl nearby. It was far too early for it to be awake, but there the sound was. He scanned around trying to locate it. If he could catch it Dawnstar would surely allow him to come back. As he scanned he spotted it. It was right out in the outskirts. Good! Even though he wasn't a rogue he still felt it had to be caught in his temporary territory. It was right up in the tree. The sound of it had faded as it crept back into sleep. During the night he would catch it before he went back. It would be his prized catch since he left the role of a medicine cat.

Another sound and scent could be detected as Ebonyfang began to relax. It was a familiar scent, but when he looked he didn't recognize him. He didn't really get to know anyone, except all those cats he had treated when It was his job. Once he got a good look at the cat he remembered seeing them around camp. Condorcall wasn't it? Or something like that. His eyes peered at the other tom, keeping his head low.

It didn't seem to work as Condorcall began to climb the tree. He didn't expect anybody else, but a Thunderclan warrior to be able to climb it. They did it for food, but he did it to get stronger. As the warrior got closer he poked his head up. What the cat said he listened closely to. "To any other stranger that is, but most likely not to me. I still belong to Shadowclan. No one can ever tell me I'm not. Not after all I've done for my clan as their medicine cat. Did Dawnstar send you or did you so happen to come on your own free will?", he asked. It sure sounded like a thing his cousin might do. Hopefully, it wasn't true. Of course, it wasn't. His cousin must think he's gone for good. Might be best to keep it that way, but he was devoted to the clan he grew up in.

Re: Ebonyfang's Training Territory

Condorcall | @Angelique

Condorcall blinked.
It was not uncommon for the maned warrior to be unfamiliar with cats who had been gone from the borders of ShadowClan. He, himself, did not engage with his peers, mostly noted as the lone wolf amongst the pack. He remained silent, keeping to himself more often than not and allowing his only company to be the silhouette of his shadow in the moonlit night. Condorcall often occupied the willow in the day and at night would embark upon the duties that secured his position as a warrior of ShadowClan and member amongst his peers. But now, he found himself gazing into the eye of a cat he knew not the name of, but his face grew recognizable the more the young tom stared. Of course, to be unaware of an alias was not uncommon for the cats of his ancient family who often found more priority in other aspects of life including securing the safety of nature and remembering the dead who traversed the earth through the life of the forest.

Condorcall hummed, swaying his tail through the branches of the pines and casting his apricot gems throughout the woodland and away from the tom at his flank. "I am but a wanderer of my Clan, so pardon my ignorance. I do not indulge in politics nor the commotion of the Clan. I merely serve, both the leader and the forest." The tomcat dipped his head, an apologetic display towards the older feline. However, he soon raised it, meeting the eye of Ebonyfang as his tail curled around his petite paws. "I assure you, I was not sent by anyone. I saunter through the forest alone. As a former medicine cat, you know how the spirits of our ancestors long for our stay." He paused, taking a heartbeat to gaze through the branches of the fir trees and towards the muddled view of the stars above his cranium.

"Ebonyfang," Condorcall spoke suddenly, gaze dropped to peer at the features of the tomcat once more. "I recall now. I found it odd a healer would wield such an imposing alias. But it is not in my nature to judge." Condorcall tilted his head, features aloof. "Do tell, have you decided to linger near the border in hopes to return? Or have you not yet finished with your personal endeavor?"
