Barley looked over,"I am doing good," said Barley. "How are the kits doing need any help," he asked siding up and stretching.

Barley nodded and wondered off into the forest. Walking further he saw a figure. Walking towards it, he noticed it was Shadow. "Hey Shadow, how are you doing," asked Barley twitching his ears around to pick up any movement of animals.

Shadow lifted his head. "Hi Barely." He waved to the black-and-white tom. "I'm doing fine. Just mad that I let two mice get away."

* She was in the den when a fox growl could be heard from outside. She protectively curled around her kits. It walked by, but Thyme wasn't fooled. She held her kits and her swollen belly and fell asleep waiting for Shadow to return. *
