Rainwhisper stopped, turning her head to watch, grinning. She'd started things like this when she was an apprentice. She looked on both for entertainment and to make sure no one got hurt.

Minnowkit- open for interaction))
Hearing the loud call of the apprentuce, Minnowkit got to her feet and raced out of the nursery, ready for games. It'd been awhile since she was last sick.

Silverpaw looked up sheepishly at the two apprentices yelling about a game. The silver tabby waved her tail. "Can I join?" She asked. She was a little older than the other cats, but she was still an apprentice.

Splashpaw hurried towards the call of her fellow apprentices. I wonder what’s up now… she thought.

Mintkit didn't like playing with the other kits. She rested in a quiet corned at the shade of the reeds near the water stream, blue eyes watching the younger cats gathering in the clearing at the call of two exuberant apprentices. Her grey tail brushed the ground with light movements, creating weird patterns on the soft sand.

It looked like they aimed to organize various games and invite as much cats as they could; for now, already some kits and apprentices had come to listen and she guessed that later even more would join. Moss-ball? I remember that game, but.. I haven't really played much. Now that I know how to swim, I don't need that pastime anymore. She tried to close her eyes and focus on the calming sound of the reeds swaying in the breeze.

Stirring from his spot of resting in the clearing, Ducknose lifted his head and glanced over at the commotion from one of the apprentices. Curiosity and memories of their own kithood had the warrior sitting up, glancing around to see the enjoyment that was no doubt about to occur. A small smile rose to his maw; it had been a long time since he'd watched others playing mossball. That had always been their favorite to watch.

Quietly observing, a certain kit caught the young cat's attention. His yellow eyes settled on a kit doing the same thing he was doing: watching, but not joining. Took note of her own blue eyes watching the kits and apprentices gathering, and they almost swore they could sense the same feeling Ducknose had as a kit: a suppressed longing to join. As a kit, Ducknose had no littermates to play with. And the other kits... they pushed the memories of taunting jeers from their brain and instead forced memories of their own kithood times watching, but not joining, the others playing such games.

Maybe they were misinterpreting, their own kithood regrets and resentments blurring what the small kit was actually feeling; perhaps she was actually content to watch instead of joining. Regardless, Ducknose found themselves up on their paws and approaching the kit before he had another heartbeat to doubt their instincts. A gentle smile settled on their maw, and they made sure to voice their approach as the kit's own eyes had closed. "Hello there! I'm Ducknose." A soft tone blanketed his words, the nurturing feline quickly slipping into that voice they always used for kits. It wasn't a show or fake; no, not at all. It was very genuine, but that nurturing instinct deep in their chest always resulted in this tone coming out when they spoke with younger cats.

Amberpaw rushed forwards. She'd really only played Mossball, and even then only once, and maybe she should be too mature or broken for this, but she so wanted to play.



"Can I join in?" The smile on her face was obvious.
