Out of the Black [Private]
 

Weaving through the darkness, chocolate pelt illuminated by the bioluminescent fungus clinging to the tall, dark pines, the brawny tom made his way to a small pool hidden in a clearing. This was where he had told her to be, and it was time for the moon to rise on the living clans.
As he emerged into the clearing, mist twisting about his wide, stocky form, Dusktalon's copper eyes flashed. It was time to start making his mark on the living.
He stopped at the edge of the pond and glanced at his reflection, smirking when he saw the pale, rippled scar that enclosed his neck. It was a good trophy.
Taking a seat, Dusktalon wrapped his tail about his white paws and waited, for soon his new apprentice would dream her way here.

Silvershadow woke up in the Dark forest and had finally found the clearing, seeing her D.F. mentor sitting there she smiled,
"I'm ready for my first lesson" she said viciously

His eyes flashed as the form of his apprentice materialized before him. Good, she was on time. He watched her approach and gave a smirk in response.
"Good. Follow me," he commanded, rising to his paws. He turned for the dark shadowy pines, setting off at his usual shamble, his shoulder muscles rippling under his tabby marked pelt. As he walked, he decided he should learn more about his apprentice, see what gaps he could fill in.
"Silvershadow, what clan do you hail from?"
He had his suspicions, but it would be important to see where her expertise currently lay.

"Shadowclan, is my home, but I wish some of the cats weren't as soft, I mean come on we are Shadowclan not Thunderclan. I want to fix that and root out all the softies, and if this is the only way, so be it." She meowed to her shadowy mentor

Nodding to himself, he wove his way through the tall pines. Shadowclan, the stealthy, prideful barbarians of the tall pine forests. Were they still under leadership of Dawnstar? He mused over this as he lead the way to a mist covered muddy hollow. This was the only place with enough space to really train someone.
At least this one seemed motivated to get stronger. Good. He had no time for weakness. He padded to the center of the hollow, the fog that clung the ground wisping in tendrils around his form. Turning to face Silvershadow, he narrowed his gaze.
"Good, weakness has no place in any clan. It especially has no place here," he replied as he extended his claws, smirking as they glinted in the glow of the fungus covered tree trunks ringing the area.
"First, show me what you know," he ordered. With a snarl, he leapt at the she-cat, aiming a blow at her face. Now to see how she would react.

Hissing as he aimed for her face she dodged out of the way and immediately responded to his attack, noting how he unsheathed his claws she thought he wouldn’t mind hers unsheathed. Aiming for his face and chest she jabbed blow after blow repeatedly. @Rizo

The dark tabby smirked as he took notice of Silvershadow's unsheathed claws. Good, better to get actual practice. He ducked nimbly to the side, pivoting to aim himself at her side and surging forward, aiming a shoulder at her ribs. He wove between swipes, preparing himself to impact the she-cat.
"You're fast, good. Keep going," he ordered in his deep, gravely voice. She didn't hesitate, that would make her a fine fighter for sure. Now to see how she would respond to a charge.

Dodging as much as she could she felt a flash of pain as her mentors claws grazed her side. Leaping in the air she tried a new strategy, she landed and immediately dove under her mentor using her head to push her mentor up and ran out of his reach. @Rizo
