so! i've created a new character! because i don't have any characters in shadowclan, and i just couldn't resist making her for any longer, i've decided to introduce riverpaw. though, before she is submitted, she'll need a mentor! there will be no form for this, and if i see anything resembling a form, it will be disregarded. just give me a link to your character, or some links to a few posts if you don't have a biography.

(please note that riverpaw is blind, so she'll be have to be taught how to fight with no vision!)

there are only two rules:

1) replies must consist of a paragraph or more – please give me something to reply with!

2) please be active. i'd like quite a few threads with riverpaw and whomever her mentor will be. sprees are preferred.

and i have two preferences, though these aren't required!:

1) if you're someone i've roleplayed with in the past, great! this however is not necessary.

2) either a very maternal, caring mentor, or a mentor that is on the stricter, harsher side may be fun.

i give you poppybreeze! she is a mix of maternal and strict, kind and rude. shes pretty abrasive and sneaky, and will teach riverpaw to be the same way, if you want that to happen hehe

i toss up aspen'snap lol im adopting them out to fenz in a few days ( a amazing rper ) so get ready for not one paragraph but maybe like 8 :sob: aspen is more on the kinder side and could be like a bigger brother to river.

Ooo unorthodox but I may have a good match. Sunsetthorn is currently a queen but her kits are nearly old enough to leave the nursery (not sure exactly when, that'll depend on where the kit RPers are with their post counts and lessons). However, Sunsetthorn lost one of her eyes to a fishing hook during her apprenticeship and had to relearn how to hunt and fight with her lost depth perception, so she now relies much more heavily on her other senses than most other warriors, obviously a needed skill for a blind apprentice. Being that her kits are older and in less constant need of her and still not technically back to other warrior duties, maybe they talk to Dawnstar about her taking on an apprentice before she leaves the nursery since she has the near ideal skill set for Riverpaw? Her focuses would be her kits and training Riverpaw.
She'd fill the more maternal side of things but she is also no softy. She grew up with and was primarily trained by Elmshadow and has a very pessimistic/logistical view on things.
If it's something you'd be interested in I can message Taker to see if that's something Dawn would allow.
We could also go with the storyline that Sunsetthorn took some special notice of Riverpaw in the nursery while she was in there with her own kits.
Do you have a character page or any more info on Riverpaw? As far as age and more on her personality?

i actually find this really cute; a partially blind cat mentoring a completely blind cat and teaching them how to be a warrior. it warms my heart, lol.

unfortunately, i currently do not have a page for riverpaw! however, she's 6 moons old, and is quite the softy so far. honestly, she's quite unlike the brass, cunning nature that shadowclan is generally labelled as, preferring a quieter, more affectionate life than one of glory and power.

Sounds like a good fit to me. Sunsetthorn is loyal Shadowclanner through and through but she isn't bloodthirsty or violent. I'll message Taker and let you know ^^

after some conversation with taker and ravensong, we've concluded that sunsetthorn will purely give lessons related to riverpaw's sight. i'd like poppybreeze to be her full time mentor, if you would still be up for it. :heartbounce:
