She walked in silence, her mind devoid of thoughts reminiscing or preparing, simply moving through the motions of awareness to her surroundings, to Pumpkinpatch leading her away, to the sounds and scents of the forest for any ambush or predator. She hated talking, that had only stopped being true around Pignut, but she'd done the worst of talking in this last day, and now she was ready to stop. There was at least that one blessing in her exile, being forced to be alone meant she had nobody she'd be expected to talk to. When Pumpkinpatch stopped at the border, Petalflight's paws continued to carry her forward. She gave the warrior a small nod as she walked past to acknowledge her words but felt no need to respond, there was nothing to say. Besides, the warrior surely wouldn't care to hear anything she had to say anyway. Petalflight held no ill opinion of Thunderclan or Bumblestar or any of the clans; she realized Thunderclan took her in when they had no real need to. Though she'd never felt like one of them, that'd reflected less on the warriors than it did on her own ability to see the world as they did. So, no, she did not feel any negativity toward Thunderclan but she couldn't say she was heartbroken to leave either, not now that Blackfir was...gone. Stars...light my path... Another of those things that clan cats said that felt nonsensical to Petalflight. Stars were just stars, though she understood through Blackfir that the stars, to these clans, meant their dead ancestors. Where were the stars to light Blackfir's path? The truly loyal among us all. She moved directly away from Pumpkinpatch and Thunderclan and Bumblestar, Blackfir, and even Pignut, stepping deeper into the forest she once moved through as a nomad. No, she'd have no stars lighting her path, she had always had an inexplicable ability to see in the dark anyway.
