The deceased queen watched as yet another fallen warrior approached the starry ranks, but this cat was... different from many of the others, she daresay. A cat given her warrior name as a result of her death. A warrior name earned but at the same time, not earned. The gray tabby before them had been granted her name without putting the work in, but the price had been dear. And Daisypool assumed that the cat didn't choose her fate. A warrior ceremony on the deathbed wasn't all that comforting, in Daisy's opinion, despite Gingerstar's intentions. "Can you not help guide your Clan from the comfort of StarClan, dear? If I recollect correctly, your life was full of suffering- and returning to your Clan in the middle of leaf-bare with territory-wide war isn't exactly the second chance you might be hoping for. Why now, why not simply wait?" This cat wanted to reunite with loved ones, but once all those she loved died, she would get plenty of chances for that. They would have eternity together, provided that Kestrelskies's loved ones behaved themselves. While the compassionate former queen was inclined to grant Kestrelskies's request, she was interested in hearing what other questions some of her peers had, as well as the answers Kestrelskies provided. Also, somewhere in the back of her mind, Daisy wondered briefly if Kestrelskies's warrior name would be revoked from her upon her potential resurrection, but she quickly dismissed the thought. Paying your life was the ultimate price, and Kestrelskies wasn't exactly ungrateful or rude to want to actually live as a warrior instead of have her dying moments to relish her promotion before arriving in the afterlife. Shaking off all her chaotic thoughts, the molly settled down to become more comfortable, fixing a warm stare first at the dead warrior then at the other two cats who she hoped would be stepping forward eventually. Re: Kestrelskies
Kestrelskies noticed as only one member of the Covenant showed up, which caused her to wilt a little. Was her case really so inconsequential? Then again, she was sure many cats csme everyday in order to sppeal themselves to the council. Perhaps they were all tired at this point. |
Re: Kestrelskies
Snowleopard | Female + She/Her | Dark Forest White cat with black bengal markings and blue-grey eyes. Oh dear child, that you did not see other Covenant members did not mean that they werent here. Many simply were so disillusioned by the types of cats that came to plead their case that they refused to show unless they were sure of taking the judgement on. @sol. @clarice. |
Re: Kestrelskies
Barkblaze | Male + He/Him | Starclan Long-furred white cat with black spotting and green eyes. Silent and unseen as he was, the words of the young 'warrior' along with his fellow Covenant members, were not lost upon Barkblaze. Warrior only in name, hardly in deeds. The tom only made himself known after Snowleopard had stalked her way in to declare her own decision. One that he silently agreed on, though the fact that they were young was not a fact that was lost upon him. "There is much more to life than battle." The voice of the tom meowed out with a hard, firm note as he finally padded forward to make himself known. He had seen many a warrior who only saw life as a great battle, and it was all that filled their minds, their dreams. They were a waste of life. An unimpressed frown upon his muzzle as he focused down the younger cat. "Dying in battle can be seen as an honor, dying twice in battle only speaks on how foolish you are. One can care for, and serve their clan, and not waste their life." However, Barkblaze seemed interested in the question that Snowleopard posed, his ears perking to show that perhaps the answer to this weighted question may be substance enough to sway his vote. Was he hopeful that they would say something worth while? Not particularly, but that was a thought for himself. The ancient medicine cat was on the fence of how he considered Kestrelskies request, his green eyes sharp and waiting for something that would tip him one way or the other. @sol. @clarice. @Rani |
Re: Kestrelskies
Kestrelskies will admit, she nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard New voices come out of nowhere. But that was silly of her to assume anything else- of course there were cats keeping watch, especially with a careful process like this one. Smart, really. And yet, she still decided not to think of it. The world seemed to love playing tricks on her. |

At two of her Councilmate's appearances as well as their very welcome questions and opinions, Daisy listened silently, taking in the younger spirit's responses and her reasoning, and Daisy couldn't find notable fault in what the young tabby said. A soft smile grew on the lilac and white molly's face and she dipped her head when Kestrelskies had finished speaking. "I trust that you're being truthful, and I hope to see your plans, hopes and everything beyond from you, should you be sent back. My vote is yes, Kestrelskies, towards your second chance." The molly glanced over at her other two Councilmates, wondering how they would choose although personally, she didn't see much to pick apart about Kestrelskies's statements. That was why this was a democratic system, of course, because more minds was equivalent to more opinions and viewpoints, so she was... interested, to say the least, to see what Snowleopard and Barkblazed had to say. Re: Kestrelskies
Barkblaze | Male + He/Him | Starclan Long-furred white cat with black spotting and green eyes. The tip of his tail quivered and flicked upon hearing the other two council members' verdict upon the cat before them. Ultimately it was a verdict he agreed with- the young cat's answers had been satisfying enough for his own set of criteria as well. Of course he still held reservations, but that was with every cat. Stilling the quiver of his tail, the stern tom sat like a stone, his head angled to some degree with his chin upwards. "It needn't be said but my verdict will be a yes as well. Take your second chance, and live Kestrelskies. Cherish the fact that you are alive, find the beauty in the world around you because being alive is a gift." Inhaling despite the need to, he would give Kestrelskies a nod. "You will return one day and will never experience life again. Do not let this sway you, but embolden you to who you are. Life is a temporary state. Take care." With his piece having been spoken, and the verdict spoken true, Barkblaze would rise to his paws. Another cat having been given a chance at life. @sol. @Rani @clarice. |
