Juno had frequented this coffee shop for as long as she could remember. At first with her dad and twin sister, then just her sister, and now just herself. She tried not to think about that. Sipping on their painfully complicated coffee order, they had just finished doomscrolling through their Twitter feed and had now resorted to people-watching. The cheerful tink of the bell mounted on the door drew their eyes to the front, where they watched a boy with white (What? How? Was it dyed or something?) hair mosey up to the counter.

Interesting. They propped their feet up on the table, leaning backward in their booth in the back of the little cafe, which earned them a glare from one of the employees but no real consequence, as usual.

As Juno watched the boy (in a very Not Creepy Way, thank you very much) he pulled out a sketchbook and began to draw. She wondered if he was actually good or not, and decided that it couldn't hurt to check. As quietly as possible, Juno stood up, and crept over behind the boy to peer over his shoulder at the page. They knew that artists didn't like people snooping through their sketchbooks, so they made sure to turn Sneak Mode up to max.

Juno raised their eyebrows, taking a sip of their drink. "That's cool," they said, leaning down right next to his ear in an attempt to startle him. And it wasn't a lie -- the drawing was really impressive to Juno, who couldn't draw a stick figure to save their life.

Juno cackled. It sounded like a dorky villain laugh, and if you told her that she'd take it as a compliment. "What, you shy or somethin'?" she said, raising her own volume of voice to combat Wilbur's whisper. "C'mon! I don't bite!" The staff of the shop collectively raised their eyebrows incredulously.

Juno slapped him in the back of the head in a friendly(?) gesture. It was harder than she'd meant, but she didn't apologize. "C'mon man, shy's no fun!" she said, grinning broadly as her volume slowly continued it's incline. She was now talking loud enough to attract confused looks from other customers. The employees looked annoyed, but didn't try to do anything about the situation; they'd learned that there was no stopping, controlling, or kicking out Juno.
