BANE CENTRAL DATABASE LEADER: UnknownGROUP OF INTEREST: CULT OF THE MOUNTAIN CROWN MOTIVATION: Release the Mountain King Anomaly DESCRIPTION: This group formed roughly two centuries ago and has continued to grow its numbers since. The group’s goal is solely focused on freeing an anomaly known as The Mountain King. This cult is made up of backers who fund the group’s research and paramilitary activities. There appear to be different heads of each division within the cult called the King’s Cabinet. It is uncertain if the group has a single unified leader or is lead by the King’s Cabinet. This group frequently launches raids against BANE in an attempt to retrieve paranatural materials. |

Parautilitarians - Supernatural Rule Breakers Individuals with an acute sensitivity to the paranatural often possess an innate ability to act as a temporary nexus. While acting as a nexus, the parautilitarian may channel the powers of an anomaly. Parautilitarians are rated from F1 to A5 class. This is determined by the number of anomalies the individual can channel and the DFD value achieved while channeling one, all without losing control.F class parautilitarians can channel one anomaly which is the bare minimum to be considered a parautilitarian. Each class can channel one additional anomaly beyond the previous. 1 class parautilitarians achieve 0.11 to 0.3 phase. Refer to DFD Nexus ratings for additional information. |

BANE CENTRAL DATABASE FOUNDED: March 18th, 1894AREA OF INTEREST: DEAD HORSE, COLORADO POPULATION: 43,206 Permanent residents HISTORY: Originally a farming settlement, in 1929 the small town of less than 1,000 residents was hit by the Great Depression. The town was entirely abandoned as its population suffered from the Dust Bowl. The town became frightened of dying. Throughout 1930 to 1947 there have been signs of advanced rituals being undertaken by unknown individuals in the town. In 1947 the town was rediscovered by prospectors searching for tin deposits, instead finding several horse corpses and desiccated humans. While no significant tin veins were located, large quantities of pure quartz was discovered. Samples of local quartz taken are 0.22 phase. A mine was established by Smithson Mining Co. in the same year. In 1977 Dead Horse Glassworks established a factory in partnership with Smithson Mining. As the town steadily grew, it took up the name of the glassworks. In 1998 the mine was exhausted and the mining company withdrew. The factory remained in operation until 2001 when Dead Horse glassworks went bankrupt. The town began to wither until in 2003 a deposit of high quality clay was discovered. Dead Horse would not allow itself to die again. The town began a campaign of becoming self-reliant in the 2008 mayoral election and has since adopted several bills that have given it greater permanence. As of late, several groups of interest have taken notice of Dead Horse and horse corpses have appeared in several abandoned warehouses surrounded by ritualistic symbols. |
