I'm finally opening up the possibility of love again for Midnightpath, I think she deserves it. I haven't been very active on wco but I've wanted this for my dearest shadow baby for a long while. If you're interested in a bit of love in your kitty's life, please do read on!

Let's set the stage for Midnightpath, if you don't know her already. Here is a link to her site that you can read(not entirely up to date!), but a condensed version of her is as follows…

I've roleplayed Midnightpath since she was a kitten in the nursery, so she's very important to me. She has some issues with making connections with others, just because she's been let down so frequently. By her own family, friends, even someone she thought to love. She's rough around the edges with reason to be so, and she has high expectations for herself although she's been letting herself down as of late. Midnightpath is highly dedicated to Starclan, you could say she's so incredibly dedicated to the code, so much so that it may be a fault of her character. She prays each morning and each night, on her own time, by the mouth of the warrior's den. Her beliefs do not make her gentle, though. She's essentially a constantly clenched fist. She's nineteen moons old, going on twenty at the end of November.

What do I want for Midnightpath?
-A slowburn romance, mainly.
-I will be picky with her love interest, though. Midnightpath isn’t the type to take interest in happy go lucky individuals. Your cat can be as eccentric as you wish, just know that Midnightpath will not be interested in any balls of sunshine.
-Your cat must be between 19 moons and 25 moons.
-Your cast must be from Shadowclan.

No form, really, you can submit whatever you’d like for this. Please do give me as much info as possible though, maybe even some plot/romance ideas would be appreciated.

@Omari Perhaps Midnightpath would like to meet Hollyface? I haven't used her yet, but found this as the perfect opportunity to begin the journey in developing her!

Sooo ~ allow me to introduce her!

Hollyface is a fluffy white she-cat with a black face, spots, paws, and amber eyes. Her size is average, though she might be on the smaller side for the average shadowclanner. Her fur is long and very plush with a cotton-like texture. She smells of rain and sandalwood.

She is 20 moons old and growing bored with her life. Her hobbies include hunting at night, collecting crow feathers, and meditating to connect with StarClan. That said, she is very nocturnal and doesn't really get the chance to interact with others much. To counter this, Holly will be trying to be awake more during the day and attempting to interact more with her clanmates. However...she has zero social skills and tends to not speak unless spoken to, but she is working on that. Add that to a sleepy version of herself and...yeah, I think the interactions could be rather amusing. ^^

Bonus Info: the reason she is so nocturnal is because she feels more comfortable/safer under the stars, kind of like StarClan is watching over her.

Don't worry about her being bubbly or happy-go-lucky, as she is an extreme realist and only spends her energy on "useful" things (whatever that means lmao, holly is a little silly). She is very easy-going and can sometimes come off as flat-lined, but this is a common misconception; she will perk up when having a good conversation or light up when talking about things she is passionate about. The more comfortable she is to you, the warmer she gets.

I think it would be super funny if the way they met is Midnight waking up early and witnessing Holly head into the den after a long night of hunting...and so Holly has to explain why she is awake at night all the time haha. It'd be cute if she ended up spending more time with Midnightpath simply because she would like to add some more structure to her life. Maybe Holly expresses her desire to have a better schedule and Midnight decides to help her? Then maybe Hollyface could teach Midnightpath how to loosen up a bit sometimes c:

They end up spending more and more time together, and (if they get along well enough through our interractions) slowly start falling for each other! I'm a sucker for slowburn love plots!!

Starlingcall is an... interesting character. It's perhaps as far as one could get from a "ball of sunshine". They have the tongue of a viper and aren't afraid to use it when the situation calls for it. Whether it be calling an injustice out or telling an apprentice they're a mousebrain. For this, they can be trusted to speak their mind. Right?

On the surface, it appears to be a dutiful warrior, volunteering often for dangerous tasks and offering assistance to those around it. However, this is only for appearances. Starlingcall believes themself in a clan full of idiots, with only the bloodthirstiest of warriors they manage to respect.

But as much as Starlingcall would love for this to be completely true, it is not. It longs for respect, and believes this act this is the only way to gain it, despite the loneliness it has trapped itself in. Although it does value respect over most things, which is why they created this mask, their mind could perhaps be changed.

Roleplay Ideas

I'm imagining a meet-ugly where Starlingcall gets annoyed with Midnightpath for blocking up the entrance of the warriors den while praying, asking her, in an albeit passive aggressive way, that perhaps there's a better place to do this. Like in the dirtplace. Or just, generally a not great meeting. For a while after, Starlingcall could enjoy pissing Midnightpath off with doing stuff and pretending like it had "no idea" she would get annoyed with that. I don't know Midnightpath well enough to guess exactly what she'd do, but if she gives a reaction, Starlingcall would take it as a win, likely pissing her off even more.

An easy way to fast track an actually positive relationship could be Starlingcall having to comfort Midnighpath. It's not the type to abandon a hurting clanmate, despite its best efforts, so they'd feel obligated to help. Or! It could be Strlingcall who needs comforting, and wouldn't expect Midnightpath to comfort it. But comfort does occur, and thus the start of Starlingcall's first real friendship, one not created to gain respect via association, but one based on trust.
