Fennelstar's large paws carried her to the den that smelled oh, so strongly of herbs. It was a comforting scent, one that always brought comfort to the hulking molly. She settled her one good eye on the young Kestrelpaw, her mouth drawing up in the best smile she could muster.

"Child," she greeted in her gravelly voice, "You look fretful. What worries you?"

The dark-furred molly chuckled and sat before the much smaller she-cat, her eye passing over the apprentice once more.

"Don't fret. I have faith in Toadstool's healing abilities... and in yours, dear." she added with an indulgent smile. It was hard to hold a soft face when one's face was mangled even mildly. Especially with her seemingly permanent sneer.

"You doubt yourself too much. You really must get out of your head, child." she murmured gently, leaning forward to nudge the apprentice's forehead with her nose, "There is a whole world outside of it, after all."

"Ah. Toadstool. Pleasant as always." the scarred she-cat rumbled in a semi-amused tone. She looked at the older molly with fondness for the older high rank.

"I was simply trying to ease Kestrelpaw's mind. Of course, I have unwavering faith in you and your ability." her rough voice carried through the den quite well. It usually did, wherever she was. It was why she often didn't talk on hunts. "You are a most skilled healer. The best I've heard of and met."

At this point, she was laying it on thick to playfully tease the elder she-cat, as she often had when she was younger.
