Honeykit plopped down. “You gotta siddown too, Foxtail,” she said bossily, pointing a paw where Foxy was supposed to sit. “Firs’, I was a warrior! Like you, but I was bigger, ‘n I knew how to fight, ‘n you were there, ‘n there was a fox—a big fox—‘n we fought it! An’ we won!” She told the first part of the story acting out her moves. That was important to the story! There was no way Foxy would understand if she didn’t show them!

“But then,” Honeykit mewed, “there was a… badger! At leas’ I think it was a badger. What’sa badger look like?” The kit stared up at her sibling, head tilted to the side.

“Oh.” Badgers sounded ugly. And that was definitely not what was in her dream. “Guess it was a dream monster or somethin’,” Honeykit mewed with a shrug. ”An’way, we fought it too! An’ we beat it! ‘Cept then, I woke up,” she said, finishing the last of her fighting moves. “Whadda you dream ‘bout, Foxy?”

Foxy didn’t have a dream? That was sad. Anyways, Honeykit wanted to play, but the shakies were finally getting to her. “It’s cold, Fosstail,” she said, tiny teeth chattering.
