Flay...ofish [P]
Alright time to get some work done. Shadowpaw and Wisppaw needed some more learning to be done. What better than to pester the new enforcer about learning some fun Shadowclanny stuff. "Oh Rook!" Shadowpaw cheered out before being interupted by Wisppaw. "Can you teach us how to flay things." Wisppaw said with no emotion, but flicked his ear a little when he saw Shadowpaw seemed to be annoyed. Speak faster, loser. @alec |

Re: Flay...ofish [P]
Given the order to go off and kill something the two nodded both of their head. Though neither of them answered whether or not if they knew how to hunt. Shadowpaw herself forgot, Wisppaw found it something not needing to be answer if they came this way out to ask how to flay things. He also did miss the joke so it was great he didn't open his mouth. The two shadows rarely seen without each other walked off into the forest to find something to hunt. It seemed only when they tried to blend in with actual shadows did they part without a single word. The two were... Strange. After taking some time of lurking around, Wisppaw was finally able to catch the taste of a squirrel on his tongue. He drank it in and felt a tingle of joy in his heart, there was always something fun in ending the light of another's life. He pondered what it would be like if it was another cat.. Then the tree rat unexpectedly ran across his path. The apprentice scrambled back to the real world and barely caught up and got the prey. Certainly was harder than killing a mouse. Was it more thrilling? Oh hell yeah. He wondered how Shadowpaw was going on about this hunt to then walk right into her. "Ack! Shadowpaw!" He hissed her name under his breath as she chuckled at him. How the hell did she disappear in thin air like that?! He couldn't say much else as she burst out into a fit of laughter, while having a plump rabbit next to herself. "Alright..." He grumbled so tempted to stomp on her tail, but then thought he would get in trouble with Rookfire. Yes, that was the only thing stopping from bullying his best friend though that just how they were. So he sat there and waited for the said devil, as how couldn't he find the two of them as Shadowpaw was struggling with a laughing fit. |

Re: Flay...ofish [P]
Ah well fun time was over, it was now time to work. Shadowpaw recollected herself and gave her fur a quick lick down before pulling her rabbit in front of her. She cast a glance at Wisppaw and saw that he got his squirrel ready. Shadowpaw and Wisppaw struggled at the first part to cut the skin and meat correctly both equally cutting some meat with the skin around the legs. Doing this for the first time was hard and both were a little discouraged since there was so little meat around the legs to begin with. [10, 11] Once they watched Rookfire do the neck and down the middle the two of them started again. With renewed confidence after watching the expert do it, Shadowpaw managed to get a perfect cut around the neck and down the belly, producing a decent pelt. She beamed with pride. Wisppaw followed her suit, he struggled a little bit but did much better after watching her as well. It wasn't as perfect as Shadowpaw but it was alright. Maybe if he grabbed a rabbit it would have been better but he never caught one before. [20, 15] "So... Should we clean up the pelts? There's some meat around here." Shadowpaw motioned around where the legs had been. "Oh and whats the proper way of drying this? Oh, oh and would this be nice in our mossbeds? Seems like it would be." While Shadowpaw talked, Wisppaw stayed quiet and looked to Rookfire while pondering the questions Shadowpaw asked. He didn't feel like he needed to repeat what she asked. |
