Re: The Thunderwillow
~ BADGERBRANCH ~
Badgerbranch dipped his head in respect for his leader. Eveningmist was new at the job, and he didn't know the huge tom very well. However, he believed that she would follow in Buckstar's pawsteps and lead the Clan to greatness. He was peaceful, and although Badgerbranch desperately wanted to prove his worth by sinking his claws into some fox-hearted RiverClan pelts, he had to grudgingly admit that peace was the better option. He had to respect his leader and his decisions, even if he didn't always agree. Eveningmist had also mentioned that it was Lionstorm's fault and not RiverClan's, but tensions were already on the rise. His whole body went tense as he thought about the wars and troubles that ThunderClan would face in the future.
Badgerbranch noticed how his suggestion seemed to upset the new leader, and he at first was a little confused, then realized why. Then he wanted to whack himself in the face with his tail. It was because of all the Clanmates they'd lost. Badgerbranch knew that they had to push forward, but it was still a difficult loss. So many cats killed by one... a former RiverClan leader... anger made his head swim, then he shook it off. Instead, he simply responded to his new leader with a dip of his broad dark brown head. "It's a difficult thing that we unfortunately must do, after what happened. I'd be glad to help, even with a heavy heart."
Now, the meeting was dismissed. Badgerbranch would make sure to be there at dusk, to help bury the bodies. The tom padded away from the meeting, his head swimming. He'd literally just left the medicine cat's den after a terrible wound caused by his wayward brother abandoning him, and he'd just been whacked in the face with Lionstorm - a cat he had once known - killing so many. Did anything even happen to him? His lip curled, and he paused, sinking his claws into the ground. ThunderClan needed to be strong, but they needed another thing, too: justice.
