That wasn’t what they wanted. Not at all. A heavy sigh worked its way up and out from Snowypaw as they gave a little stomp of their paws. The whole point of this was to go out on their own to explore, but apparently the warriors were paying attention again. Why did they have to all start caring now?

Suddenly, an idea popped into their head, and a grin stretched across Snowypaw’s face. But it would only work if Skyleaf and Icepaw believed them. Hanging their head down, the apprentice let out a defeated sigh. "No she's busy with her mom," they muttered, giving a shake of their head and beginning to turn away. "Thanks anways."

Did it look believable? Did they look like they were going to mope about in the apprentices' den instead? Snowypaw certainly hoped so; now they would just have to wait until Skyleaf and Icepaw were out of the clearing, then they would be able to make a b-line for the entrance! Another grin stretched across their face as the white fluffy apprentice slipped into the den.
