He tried to keep most of it out since he knew the tom was grieving, but it was getting on his nerves.

Taking a step away from the warrior, the leader gave a nod. "I've got a few things to do, and then I'll be calling a meeting soon. Go grab something off the prey pile and take a breather," he recommended, nodding towards the entrance of his den.

What day was it? Night and day seemed to be the same to Kestrelstar, as he had been in his den for quite some time. It was all the same here, the dim lighting never changed, and the only company he had were a few loose mossballs that had gathered in the corner of the rather desolate den. The leader, who was staring intensely at a wall, was muttering to himself. Claws scrapped into the ground as yellow eyes worked their way across the way.

Five, six... no, eight, right? There were eight... or maybe nine.

Anger flared in his chest as he realized he'd have to start over, one claw scoring deep into the soil of his den. As frustrating as it was, Kestrelstar had to get this right. And just as he was starting over... a voice. A voice at his den.

"What do you want?" came the sharp reply, yellow eyes flared in anger as they locked onto the approaching figure of Quietclaw. They then grew at the mention - and misgender - of Fawnsqueak and Lionstorm.

Firehawk.
Fawnsqueak.
Lionstorm.
Peonypaw.
Petuniaflame.

Red flashed along the edges of his vision as he felt the earth underneath him tilt almost, getting to his paws in a staggering fashion. "How dare you," he spat, fangs bared. It was over his head at this point that this was a Clanmate, someone who was under his leadership. But the words? The vile poison that was spewing from their mouth? "How dare you side with those fox-hearted murders. They killed Fawnsqueak, and in turn Lionstorm when he went to hold them responsibile. And since then," he continued, advancing towards Quietclaw, "they are responsible for the death of my apprentice, Peonypaw. One of our longest standing elders Firehawk. Attacking your deputy, Splashleap. Killing Petuniaflame!"

At this point, Kestrelstar's voice was raised. It was full of anger and malice and hatred. "How dare you call yourself a RiverClan warrior yet come into my den and not only slander the name of one of the greatest RiverClan leaders, but ask my opinion of you?." Incredulous, Kestrelstar stared in bewilderment at the warrior. "I have far better things to do than to get to know a warrior in my Clan who is sympathetic with ThunderClan."
"Ugh, you aren't listening to what I am saying. you are hearing what I said as sympathizing with thunderclan. I am not a traitor, nor a enemy sympathizer. What I mean is, I do not understand why Lionstorm's death is such a surprise! someone killed Fawnsqueak and he went to hold them responsible, and I agree that the one cat who killed Fawnsqueak should have paid, but the rest of them did nothing to him or Fawnsqueak, and he just randomly unleashed his anger on 5 other cats. I guess the question is, What was he holding the other 5 responsible for when he killed not just the one warrior, but a kit, and apprentice, and leader, and former med cat, and a Queen? I do not sympathize with thunderclan, but I misunderstand how Lions death is a shock. I personally think this rage is not just about me, It's about every thing that happened. I will go over to a corner and sit down until you have calmed yourself." he said with absolutely no panic in his voice. he was not sure he had done anything wrong.
