And that was it. The final straw. That was why Kestrelstar seemed so...unhinged right now. And she could understand; Starlingflight felt like she had been kicked in the gut when she heard of Petuniaflame's death. How had she not noticed? The young warrior...so much potential wasted. And what did ThunderClan have to say about it? How could they deny their actions now? Petuniaflame wasn't the first body to appear on the border, nor the first cat to be killed by ThunderClan.
Any doubt given to the benefit of ThunderClan was washed away as she listened to Kestrelstar's speech. They had no right to claim innocence now. War was coming, and Starlingflight unsheathed her claws and hissed. "They're gonna pay!"
With the dismissal of the meeting, she stalked off to mourn.
