’why was I picked again?’ blinking, she struggled to remember as that thought rang,
‘ah, right, because Twilightstar said I have a caring and attentive nature’.
Of course, she hadn’t spoken out against herself becoming a mentor, instead during the meeting she had kept her jaw sealed. She didn’t want to make Bearpaw feel bad, but she also didn’t want to fail him. Sighing, Swiftwind plopped down in the place she had been walking.
Originally, she had come out to hunt. She wanted to contribute while allowing her mind to take in everything, but now it was only her thoughts that kept her here. She was going to do her best, that’s all she could promise to herself, she just hoped her best would help her apprentice succeed.
Yet, with all the thoughts stirring in her mind, it made it easy for this she to be snuck up on.
