The warrior padded through Shadowclan territory. It would be nice to go for a hunt for a bit. He often came out at night to try and find some night creatures. Like snakes and owls. Or even small prey trying to find a snack. Badgerscar stayed near the tall grass to easily find a snake. It was now his favorite prey to catch and eat. It was fun to struggle with it. Luckily he had the perfect teacher to not get bitten.

Badgerscar scented the air and then went still as he heard hissing sounds. He had actually found one. That was the start of a good hunt. The shadowclan cat stayed near the center of its eyesight. He didn't make one single noise. It glanced over at him and he ducked to get out of sight. Snakes had poor eyesight, so it just went on its way.

That was when he strikes. He lurched at the snake, catching it by surprise. He grabbed its head in his jaws and it squirmed to getaway. Before it had time to slip out he chomped down, almost severing its head from its body. He grabbed his kill in his jaws to go off and find something else to hunt.

Not a leaf nor a pine needle stirred around the giant paws that crept silently through the darkness. The dark pelt with matching dark stripes blended in with the shadows that blanketed them. A long, fluffy tail casually swung freely at the back, caressing the nearby blades of greenery without disturbing them. Everything about the molly was made perfectly to blend in with the nightlife, everything but those eyes. Amber fire blazed from the depths of her gaze as certain scents caused her nose to scrunch up.

Dawnstar's been getting whiffs of ThunderClan and the familiar scent of a long chased-off exile on her territory. They were stale now, almost covered up by the pine and musky air that enveloped her territory. This might be something she'd have to bring up to that leader, it would give her a reason to speak with him. Changing direction, both her ears shot up and her maw parted to breathe in the freshest of smell that told her a cat's just passed through here.

There was a faint whiff of blood, old, drying, mixed with that almost bitter smell her wounds got when she left them to heal without bothering to use herbs. Dawnstar was intrigued, so she let her paws eat up the distances between her and the smell, the closer she got the easier it was to make out as one of her cats. Pity, she was hoping for a rogue she could tear up. Ducking under a low hanging branch and leaping over a small cluster of rocks, Dawnstar landed, bright golden eyes locking on the big tom hauling around a dead snake?

"That's an interesting catch." The dark tabby slipped out of the shadows, shaking out her thick pelt while catching Badgerscar's eye. Her gaze slides away to take stock of his new scars, it seemed that he's been working on those, they were fresh. It was no secret that Dawnstar fancied giving and receiving scars, those that got out of a battle with her with scars to remember her by were rare, few, and lucky. Those who gave her scars and got away with their lives? Now those cats were challenges that invigorated her. She loved her own scars, and she thoroughly took delight in looking at the scars her cats had gain. They were.... delightful to look at, Dawnstar saw scars differently than others.

"Not many go out hunting for snakes, too many fear them, even the ones lacking venom have a nasty bite." Mused the clan leader, as she came up to Badgerscar's side. He had grown from that mewling kit left for death. Dawnstar had supplied him with everything he needed to make himself one of her best and most dependable cats within her clan, so she couldn't help but be a bit bitter about it what he had tossed away, but it was more her fault than his, even though she knew that she still couldn't help but feel a tad bit of betrayal. She was far better to him than Icestar was ever to her, but perhaps that was her problem as well. She saw too much of herself in him, his failure felts like her own.
