Looncry was desperately trying to get air into
his lungs. He knew that he was no match for
Whitewolf, and his only hope in battle was
to dodge her attacks. Whitewolf unfortunately
probably knew this and had been clever
enough to block that as an option for him.
His only chance now was to pretend he
wasn't strong enough to continue to
struggle. Maybe she would finish him
off, but it was a risk he had to take.
It was his only choice.
Before he could do it, he smelled
stronger RiverClan scent. Whitewolf
seemed distracted for a moment so he
kicked with his hind legs towards her
stomach. He hoped that it would get most
of her weight off of her, and maybe he would h
ave a chance of escape.
But when he saw who she was trying to attack,
that all changed. He had hoped it was a warrior
that was trying to help him. It was only an
apprentice, and she was losing ing.
Badly losing.
He hesitated for a moment, but he knew it was
time to stop being selfish.
"Whitewolf!"
If there was any good left in her, she would
hopefully let poor Flypaw go.
"P-Please let her go."
He looked into her eyes, all fear gone.
"Take me instead."
