Yowls and screams surrounded the tabby tom. Lime green eyes scanned the clearing while Stormtalon's veins burned hot with adrenaline, his mind overwhelmed by sensory input as the battle went underway.

The stench of blood, fear, and sweat polluted the air. Storm's claws slid out and punctured the earth; ears flicked to the left when a fast approaching sound hit them, standing out against the pandemonium. He dipped low to the ground, muscles tensed in readiness when he zeroed in on his attacker: a brown tabby with flaming green eyes. She was gunning for his side with claws outstretched. Move.

He sprung himself out of the feline's reach in time to avoid the worst of it. A stinging sensation told him the attack was partly successful, although Storm kept his balance, which was the most important strategic advantage.
