His eyes show excitement for Blizzardpaw, and hopes he feels the same way.

Blizzardpaw's amber optics shown with excitement, joy, and eagerness.
Finally, he was able, able to hunt for his clan, and feed the cats who need it the most. His ears were pricked, and as he sniffed the air for prey, he finally, found a scent of a crow, trying to pick off a worm from the ground, pulling and tugging. Excitement welled through him, as he dropped to a crouch, noting not to make a noise that might attract the bird, as he stalked toward it, tail daring to swish at the snow covered marshland, whiskers quivering, he proceeded to pounce, lifting off the ground as he grabbed the crow with his claws, scraping at its wing, it gave a squawk as the apprentice snapped its fragile neck, cutting the sound off before it alerted any other prey of his presence, eyes gleaming with triumph. Blizzardpaw silently thanked Starclan as he pawed at the ground, creating a big enough hole for some prey to be stored, and thus dropping it in, before scraping the whole up, and padding off to find two more catches before.

It wasn't long before the tom cat scented another creature.
This time, a squirrel, its poofy tail swishing as it tried to search for where the buried their nuts, sniffing around a pine tree. Blizzardpaw noted to stay quiet again, as he crept toward his prey, claws unsheathed, as he finally, lifted off the ground, slashing at the squirrel's neck before it even peeped a sound, perhaps all the training in the murky place that was the Dark Forest paid off, even though Blizzardpaw promised himself to never go to that evil place again, way too dark and mysterious, and the evil cats residing their were never good, Blizzardpaw shuddered as he thought about the place, he never wanted to go their in the first place, but his bratty old self thought it was cool? The tom cat thought about this as he padded back to the whole he make, unscraping it as he settled the squirrel with his crow, nodding with a slight satisfaction.

Sniffing around once more, Blizzardpaw scented a toad, though his whiskers quivered in distaste, it was still prey. So, stalked toward the hopping amphibian, eyes stil glimmering with distaste and non-want to catch the toad, the warrior apprentice braced himself to leap, and he did, but the toad hopped away quickly, croaking disgustingly. Blizzardpaw's optics glinted in anger. "I've always hated stupid toads.." Blizzardpaw growled, murmuring under his breath, as his claws scraped at mud and dirt, sniffing the air for more prey, but none came to his nose. Darnit! I scared all the prey away, well... this is enough, I guess.. Blizzardpaw didn't want to unearth the prey, just in case he needed to get more. His fluffy tail twitched as he turned to look at Treestep, unsure look in his eyes. "Is that enough..?" He asked, wanting a bit of reassurance, and wanting to know if he needed to go nearer to the border. Perhaps he needed to? Well, he would have to wait for his mentor's answer first, and not arrogantly moving forward without having to ask his mentor first! Blizzardpaw wasn't the one for jumping right into things, well, anymore at least.
