Leafecho padded through the entrance into the clearing, her two mice dangling by their tails from her mouth. She immediately took in the mass of cats gathering beneath the Thunderwillow.
Oh mouse dung, I'm late to a meeting! She padded quickly to the freshkill pile and added her catch to the collection then bounded discreetly to the outer edges of the gathered cats, lifting her gaze to the leader.
She smiled softly at the kits being called up. At least she was catching on to some clan practices, she quickly recognized the apprentice ceremony. The last apprenticeship ceremony had landed Leafecho a surprising responsibility as she'd found herself thrust into mentorship. The thought made her glance through the gathered cats for her apprentice. She pinpointed him out in the crowd; she'd try to remember to catch him after the meeting. She hadn't heard much from him since he was assigned as her apprentice.
