So, a long conversation. Kestrelstar suppressed a soft sigh as yellow eyes watched unblinking. Truth be told he hadn't really talked much - or at all - with his former mentor after his training. He couldn't remember what her reaction had been after his mother's death, but the only cats he recalled doing anything about it were Stormtalon and Lionstorm - then Lionstar. It wasn't necessarily her fault, but Kestrelstar knew he had pushed a lot of other cats away during that time. Maybe she had been one of them.

"Yes, a lot has changed," the leader repeated, jaws parting in a massive yawn as one of his ears gave a flick. "Well, if it's too much for you then why did you come back?" A blunt question, but it was late, and Kestrelstar was tired. Returning his yellow eyes to watch her, another sigh left him. "Graytail, adjusting back into Clan life after being gone might be hard, I understand that. But you were a warrior for much longer than you were outside of the Clans - cats come and go all the time. If I got worked up over every cat that went missing I'd have no time to actually run the Clan."
