The wind carried a coolness that was only identifiable as leaf-bare. Leaf bare on the wind, and there was nothing to do about it. Like she couldn't do anything about.... about her. About the now dead cat that sat in the medicine den, body so ripped that the young cats in attendance wouldn't want to see. Aspenstar fluffed up her maple colored fur, and with two long strides, she was at the foot of the Thunderwillow. She had cleaned her fur while she was in the den, and that was good. She had woken from her nap ruffled and dirty, a good clean washed that away. Not a hair was out of place, and good for that, too. She had to look put together to be put together, right? She leaped up, digging her claws into the tree bark and hauling her lithe body up on her branch. Settling down, she tried to suppress the sorrow in her eyes. Tears pooled in her yellow hues, and she looked down. How would she go on without her? Without a medicine cat, how was ThunderClan to survive? She straightened her back, letting out a thin sigh. "All cats of ThunderClan, please gather beneath the Thunderwillow for a Clan meeting.."
