The tabby queen padded slowly out from the den for her regular daily walk. It had been harder and harder, recently, for her to get around. Clearlight took it as a sign to walk more. It wouldn't do her future kits any good to have an unhealthy mother.

Catching sight of a warrior, Clearlight smiled at them. She was starting to get more used to the cats in the clan, more willing to talk to them.

"It's a lovely day, isn't it?" Clearlight sighed, staring up at the sky, then turning her gaze to the trees, which were turning marvelous shades of colors in the leaf-fall.

BrightShadow looked at the queen "yes yes it is" she mewed solemnly looking up at the sky
