picking up the vole, downywhisker twisted around when speckledpaw seemingly decided to show up. finally. also, seemingly had no idea how to hunt. wonderful. the tri-color tom looked up at the sky - he didn't have time for this. where was dappledfern? had she just walked off? irritation prickled in his paws.

frowning, he dropped the vole. "there's not enough time to teach you how to hunt, speckledpaw. had you come earlier like you were supposed to, maybe i given you a lesson." it hissed, amber eyes glinting with annoyance. "keep quiet, stay in a crouch, and try to smell for anything, and be quick. i won't wait for either of you." it meowed, snatching up the vole and padding away to dig up the two birds, ready to leave.
