Re: Blue Collar Diner.
There was more that Clay had wanted to say. More words to come out of his mouth. But before he could even form the sentences in his head, Brayden was ducking back over and sliding a cup of coffee before the pretty girl. Irritation settled in the back of his mind as he shot a glance at the kid, giving a simple smug smirk and roll of his eyes to easily brush off the comment. What was up with everyone and thinking he was flirting with a wall? Of course, on any given night after he had been... out far too late and was stumbling around, even he wouldn't be surprised if he tried his luck with a wall. But the day was still young and he was not yet stumbling - and his "target" was most certainly not a wall.
Oh, the double trouble twins - even though they certainly were not twins. Clay tossed a feigned look of amusement towards Sofia before shaking his head, looking back at Nat as if to say "can you believe these guys?". Deciding that the ruse was most likely up at this point Clay slid into the seat across from her in the booth. Setting the coffee mug down with one hand, he used the other to pick up a packet of creamer in a dish towards the other end of the table. "So, what brings a pretty girl like you here out in a diner like this? Don't get me wrong, you certainly class the place up a bit. But usually the crowd is more so..." Trailing off, he surveyed the area until a familiar face caught his attention. "...Like them I would say." Nodding to where Noah and Paige had settled in, he let out a loud whopping noise. "Don't worry, Noah! I promise you, been an upstanding citizen alllllll week long. Impressive, I know. I did it just for you."
It had been quite some time since he'd seen the old highschool-friend-turned-police-officer (some of those times having not looked good for Clay) but lately he'd been staying out of trouble. Call it dumb luck, which is what Clay did normally, but even he had to admit he was proud of himself.
Personal inner thoughts aside, he returned his gaze to the blonde before him, shaking one of the sugar packets. "Would you like some sugar, sugar?" A classic line, though one side of his mouth raised in a smirk to convey that Clay knew, and just didn't care. And to be honest, he really wouldn't have cared. Something told him that Nat could make fun of him all she wanted and he would actually enjoy it. But then another voice drifted over to him and suddenly another patron was standing where he had been, gesturing to the seat he had just taken. "Ah, I got it. This is your friend, right? Come to save you from the annoying "bad boy". I got you, I got you," he chuckled, looking over to Josephine. "Names Clay," he introduced himself, dropping the sugar packet and holding his hand out across his body for a shake.
