Cowpaw gave a subtle nod in response - indeed, he had a feeling it was something a bit more internal than typical. It made him nervous, cautious because in his opinion, these situations were much .. hm, much more of a toothwracker. Easy to mess up by a simple wrong word - there was no guarantee he could help. On top of that, Cowpaw was now buzzing with anxieties because this was the first time, he was occurring this type of situation. He does his best to be small, lend a floppy ear to the warrior beside him.

While Palecloud spoke, the medicine cat made sure to nod slowly along. There was a beat of silence after the tom finished but Cowpaw held no judgement in his round eyes. Only he was deep in thought before he lifted his paw. This time his gestures were slowed out, I.. think if you are worrying then that is already a good sign. Don't you think? I mean, not - not to say your worrying is good. It just means... you care. Bad fathers wouldn't even second-guess their uhm, actions! I think! It's also fine to not be ready. This is a new experience - but I think you'll find it easier as time goes on. It's okay to even make mistakes when you're a dad! Everyone does, Cowpaw explains, shuffling with his oversized paws. He really was not qualified to speak on this, but he was blessed with a wonderful dad. Maybe a bit rough but, he was a good dad.

He swallows nervously, looking back to Palecloud. You will do wonderful; I am sure of it! You just have to give them all the love you can and that's enough. All they really need from you is your support and love. So, well, it seems like you already are prepared with that! Cowpaw pipes up, nodding to himself. That sounded smart! if the kits got into trouble, well, uhm, ,, he decided that by then Palecloud would know what to do. As long as he just made sure to be there, everything would be fine! Starclan was watching over them and he knew his ancestors would help this warrior if the time ever came.

The medicine cat turned around on his heel, blinking in surprise at the sudden voice. He hadn't been suspecting any visitors, certainly not so soon. Cowpaw blinked, a nervous smile crossed his lips but relaxed into a softer one once he realized it was Lioncloud. He lifts a sprawled out pull over his head and pulls it down his neck and then lifts both of his paws and waves them up in the air in a circular motion. Hello Lioncloud! Wonderful day, isn't it? How are you? He asks, trotting to meet her.

Cowpaw looks at the poppy she held and a quiet gasp escape from him. A poppy meant poppy seeds!!! He jumps up excitedly, nodding back and forth, it is! It is! Thank you so very much! It really was what I needed! Thank you, wonderful, wonderful! He carefully takes the poppy from her and bounces into the herb storage. He dwells in there for a moment, removing the seeds and making them into a neat pile. Plucking the flower from its stem, he carries it out.

The oversized tom returns, setting the poppy down at Lioncloud's paws. I unfortunately can't quite give you a thank you gift, but I do not need the whole poppy - only its seeds so perhaps.. you would enjoy it? Anywho, thank you! Cowpaw gestures, feeling awfully giddy with happiness.
