She listened to Hemlockfrost's words. Oh. Now she recognized the warrior. Sootwind let a light, false laugh rise up from her throat as she tried to remove the... awkward spirit of the conversation. The insults the cat was throwing at her? She ignored them. It would probably amuse Hemlockfrost if Sootwind reacted as angered by the taunting. But taunting was something for kits, not for warriors that had long since served their clan.

"Yes, I so happen to be looking for prey," she replied cooly. And now the cat was accusing her of not being able to scent prey on her way here? Wait, no... they were saying it wasn't her fault.

Sootwind gave a brief nod. "I'll join," she meowed sharply. With that, she followed the warrior, careful to tread on silent paws. She was not going to be unsucessful. Honestly, that would be slightly ignominious to her. She'd trained since an apprentice to hunt. So she would tread back to ThunderClan camp with some prey.
