Beth walked into the lobby of the motel, she shivered. It was certainly colder than usual, did Maria finally decide to start paying for air conditioning? That meant the owner would've had to approve it. She looked around for Maria but didn't see her. She must be in the back office, she walked up the front desk, clutching her phone tight as she spoke.
