The loss of Wolffang wasn't lost on Toadpounce and the gravity of everything that happened weighed heavily on his shoulders as he hopped slowly, with the last of his dwindling strength through Cowpaw's den. He stopped at the entrance, wanting to collapse but dreading the pain and not knowing if he'd be able to stand again if he went down, so he used all of the will he could summon to remain on his swaying paws. His shoulder was burning with pain down to the uselessly dangling toes. His other legs were falling numb with the extra exertion placed on them from the long trek without the use of his fourth leg. The blood matting his bitten back leg was making his fur stiff even as the muscle itself grew stiffer in protest. He took a deep breath and waited for his breath to catch before calling out somberly,
"Cowpaw, I...I'm sorry to bother you but..."
