Magpiekit was enjoying a peaceful beauty nap in her perfect nest when she was rudely awoken by a high-pitched shrieking. She blinked one eye open and was met with a face she hadn't seen for quite some time. Ugh, a pity. She'd gotten used to being the solo queen bee. Now she'd have to go back to sharing. At least the blow was softened by the warm greeting of gifts.
"I'll take the shell, obviously," she mewed, glaring at the rotten rat with distaste.
"Why would I want that dingy rat? It's so last season. I guess the way back to camp wasn't the only thing you lost. Seriously, girl, I think you need to refresh your sense of style." With a small, yet warm smirk, Magpiekit tucked the shell into her nest for safekeeping. She'd have to figure out how to wear it sometime later. In the meantime though, she wanted to hear what sorts of trouble Purekit had gotten into while she'd been gone.
"So, besides scooping up dead rats, what have you been up to for the past moon or so? By the way, you're probably not as popular as me anymore because half the clan probably forgot about you while you were gone." As little as she seemed to show it, Magpiekit had secretly missed her sister. It was good to have her competitive partner in crime back.
