Magpiekit couldn’t help the frown that appeared on her face. She definitely wasn’t going to admit it out loud, but Purekit typically was the more fashionable cat between the two of them.
“Yeah, something different could be good.” At the suggestion of mushrooms, however, the small molly raised a brow.
“Mushrooms? Are you sure? Don’t you think some cats might think that’s like, weird or something? How would you even use them?” She tried to picture how Purekit could pull off some sort of abstract mushroom accessory but it just wasn’t possible. If Purekit’s adventurous mindset was going to lead her there then perhaps she’d be better off sticking with the old flowers. Feeling a bit restless, Magpiekit stood up from her best and began pacing around as Purekit began the tales of her little excursion. By the time her sister was finished, there was a mark of distaste on her lips.
“That’s it? You mean to tell me you went all that way, and all you did was eat some dead squirrel? You wasted like, so much opportunity. You could’ve been making a better name for yourself out there,” she scoffed, rolling her eyes a little. Purekit’s next words only irritated Magpiekit even further.
”Uh, no. You wish you were the most memorable cat here. First of all, I’m pretty sure that’s Dawnstar, followed by a pawful of warriors and apprentices. We’re like, not even the top of the nursery, and you running away probably didn’t help. Unless…” A small smirk lifted the corners of her mouth.
”What if we make up a story. Say you did some like, really cool stuff while you were out. And then, we brag about it to all the other kits and maybe the younger apprentices. That’ll make us more popular for sure.”
