The sun shone high onto the dry grass, a soft breeze ruffled the fur on Songblossom’s pelt. She looked up, glancing at the sky. Ah, a squirrel! And a tree! She thought, identifying the shapes of the clouds. She turned around, looking at her clan mates. There her clan mates were sharing tongues, or eating prey. She watched as a mentor led his or her apprentice out towards the gorse tunnel. She smiled, remembering her early days as an apprentice. She was called Songpaw and she was lively and agile, always speeding off somewhere, and despised finding elder’s ticks, which she would often have to do for sneaking out of camp. ”Those were good days..” she murmured out loud.
