ThunderClan Re: The Thunderwillow

BRIGHTPATH
⸻⸻⸻⸻
➢ Feeling their beloved mate lean against them, the young tortie feline allowed a softened purr of their own to rumble from within the base of their throat. It wasn’t long until the meeting officially started and Brightpath put their whole focus towards Cinderstar as the gray-furred molly began to speak. They listened closely as it started off with the mention of the Gathering. The thinly-framed calico had not attended, but wondered if they should have after the hint towards something rather terrible occuring during that whole event. Hm. Brightpath decided not to dwell on it too much as the clan leader continued, listing off the names of many cats that had returned to ThunderClan. Most notably, at least to them, was Lotuspaw. StarClan had sent them back from the dead, which was certainly something. Was there a reason behind their ancestors' choice or was it simply them giving their clanmate a second chance at life? Brightpath didn’t know, but deemed it as not their business to get into.

Next up in discussion was the return of Violetkit and the death of the kit’s mother, Snowcloud. The cause of death was unknown, which made the lean warrior wonder if there was something out there that they didn’t know about. A predator? A murderous cat? Who knew… Brightpath could only close their eyes and bow their head respectfully as ThunderClan grieved for the loss of the molly for a moment in silence. Death was something that they never seemed to get used to, even after seeing it so much. Would the clans ever have a moon where there would be no death? Most likely not, which saddened the tortoiseshell, but perhaps that was just the fact of life as a clan cat. They glanced at Cloudyflight for a moment, wondering how she felt about all of this. However, before they could even think to ask, the meeting moved on. Maybe that was for the best. Don’t overthink it.

Thankfully, the topics seemed to shift to a more positive one. Kittens were becoming apprentices! That was a good thing, without a doubt. Brightpath glanced towards the small balls of fluff, wondering if maybe Cinderstar thought that they were ready for an apprentice. Nectarflame had taught them well, as did Foxspring and various other warriors. Despite the cruel teachings of Sleethound, the torbie feline vowed to never be like that and be a good teacher if they were to ever get a chance at teaching the new generation of ThunderClan. It wasn’t Brightpath’s call to make though and only smiled, directing their green-hued eyes back to Cinderstar while sticking close to Cloudyflight, excited bubbling in them as they awaited to see what would happen next.
