Pride suffused Shattervenom until she thought her heart would burst with the shimmering emotion. She'd thrown odd, quirky exercises at Turtlepaw and the boy had tackled them all, regardless of his misgivings or nervousness. The fluffy apprentice took her feedback, adjusted, and succeeded--all while maintaining a positive earnest attitude. It was true: the pair of them made a good team. Hopefully the slender warrior had done her part to not only assist Turtlepaw in completing his assigned task, but also lend him valuable hunting practice… she'd gladly train him again if he ever asked for her help.

"You were a delight to work with, partner," Shatter told her charge gruffly, softly bumping his fur-padded shoulder as they marched back to Fallownose. "You should be proud of yourself." Despite her flat mask, Shattervenom's eyes twinkled; think of the greatness still to form in this kid! He had a bright future ahead of him, for sure.

Waving her tail high to flag Fallownose down, Shattervenom finally slowed to a halt, feeling as if her face was about to crack in half from the tiny genuine grin curving her muzzle. "Task complete, deputy. Turtlepaw hunted a rabbit and a field mouse after showing me his current skills. He's a natural."

Fallownose swerved off of his path towards the fresh-kill pile when he spotted Shattervenom waving him down. His ears were perked an interested and a small smile graced his face as she shared the success of Turtlepaw. "I'm glad it all went well, and thank you for teaching him to hunt."

Owlflight walked over to The deputy after she placed the prey in the pile “me and shivercrawl are done with our hunting patrol Fallownose” she meowed to the deputy “we hunted a mice, a large rabbit, a plum squirrel and a Female cardinal, i hope this’ll be able to impress you and to feed a lot of cats”

Owlflight smilled while waiting for a response from the deputy

“me and shivercrawl both did quite the great job Hunting prey at Swooping hills” owlflight added “there was alot of butterflies there”

Fallownose raised his head from where he had been nibbling at an itch on his shoulder when Owflight approached. It seemed the patrol had gone well, though the molly was definitely trying to impress him. It was a little awkward. "Good job. Make sure to get something for yourself." Hopefully that was what she wanted to hear?

The spotted tom padded back into the camp, glancing back at his patrol. Skyleaf had lingered behind and Nightray had taken off somewhere at one point, Toadpounce wasn’t quite sure what had been going through the sour tom’s head. And despite his uneasy feelings suddenly along the border, he padded to the deputy, dipping his head awkwardly before reporting, ”The Shadowclan border was…quiet. Everything seemed to go smoothly. The border got marked anyway.”

Toadpounce's report was a relief to Fallownose. It seemed Dawnstar really was sticking to her promise of leaving WindClan alone since there hadn't been any trouble from her warriors for the past couple of moons. "Thank you, Toadpounce. I'm glad everything was quiet."

Dustbunny padded back into the clearing, feeling a little apprehensive about giving her report to Fallownose. Not that the deputy was all that intimidating, but both he and Twilightstar scared her. The brown she-cat swished her tail nervously behind her and trembled slightly as she located the deputy. "Um, F-Fallownose, I'm done with the patrol to RiverClan's border." The molly took in a deep breath and let it out through her nose as she gathered her thoughts. "I l-l-l-lost Maplecloud, d-d-don't know where she w-went. S-s-s-s-sorry" Phew! That was literally the worst of the patrol.

"Sandpaw can with me though. She was a great help, even noticed that RiverClan scent marks were stale." Dustbunny perked up as she went into how their patrol went. "The border was quiet otherwise, we did find a huge turtle(tortoise), Sandpaw wanted to eat it." The molly laughed warmly at the thought. "But everything else went alright."

Fallownose nodded in greeting to Dustbunny as she came over to give her report. It was filled with nervous stuttering (was he really that scary?), but he could still understand it. "I'll have to talk to Maplecloud about that, but thank you for bringing it to my attention. You and Sandpaw both did well."

The young warrior padded into camp and over to the deputy with her lonely vole she had caught alone. She really didn't want Laurelpaw to get in trouble, but she was afraid she had to let Fallownose know she didn't follow behind. Rabbitbriar still felt abandoned and she hated the feeling, but she just had to push past it. She placed the vole at her feet. "I'm here to report back. I managed to catch a vole and had no sign of any adders there, but I do know their there. Laurelpaw showed up at first, but didn't follow me there.", Rabbitnriar meowed.

Fallownose frowned but honestly wasn't that surprised at Rabbitbriar's report. Laurelpaw had only been causing trouble since she became an apprentice and didn't seem to care much for the Clan or her Clanmates. It was troubling. "Thank you, Rabbitbriar. I'll have a discussion with Laurelpaw about her behavior."

Sootflare returned with his patrol a little later than the rest, but still not egregiously late by any means. Hopefully Fallownose wouldn't mind.

"All was well at the border," he began, approaching the deputy, "Everyone showed up and did their job - we've refreshed the markers and didn't run into any trouble."

Sootflare's patrol seemed to be last, but they had made it back alright and weren't extremely late, so it didn't bother Fallownose. "Good. Hopefully, things will remain that way with all the tensions running high." The deputy didn't want WindClan to get dragged into the conflict between RiverClan and ThunderClan more than it already had been.
