Smoothing his chest fur, Blazingkit ignored Flamepaw’s question. He rolled his eyes as the apprentice mentioned about being the first apprentice to a “great” mentor. Yeah right.
Turning back to the younger she-cat, the annoyed kit hissed, “A great warrior and mentor does not have ups and downs. They are too great to make any mistakes.” Blazingkit stopped before he could yowl more at Vinekit as he heard Flamepaw wishing that both kits were apprentices already.
The light brown tomcat smirked, already forgotten about Vinekit. “Who wouldn’t wish the great Blazingkit to be an apprentice already?”
Blazingkit laid back down, closing his eyes as he listened to the two she-cats. The grey kit called Blazingkit’s name, asking what his mentor will be. “Well, it must be Cinderstar herself, obviously,” he predicted. “Why, who wouldn’t be taught by such a magnificent leader like Cinderstar.”
Facing Flamepaw, the Blazingkit was shocked as he had found himself agreeing to her words. “A warrior cannot be a warrior if they don’t practice the Warrior Code every day.”
