Re: RiverClan Clearing
Everything was happening at once. His voice drowned out between senseless owling and aggression. Well, maybe not as senseless but the sheer chaos this one idiotic scene cause was causing Gingerfrost a great amount of irritation. Death, blood, screams. And Fawnpaw. It was barely pity that he felt when he saw the chocked young cat, instead another irritated flick of his tail and huff. Damn her perceptiveness. She should've stayed in her den.
Glowering eyes moved from her to the ruckus, noting the amount of cats simultaneously launching themselves at Darkness (apparently also named 'Cloverpaw') and he didn't know whether he should regard it as idiocy or courage. Clearly in his momentary hesitance another cat had fallen, before the twitchy tom could much of anything, moved caught his eye towards Fanwpaw. But he was already too late upon the high pitched whimper that sounded. His tail gave a furious lash, eyes turned to slits the shield leapt forward only to dig his claws into the dirt to halt himself. Choice words muttered under his breath, it took him every will not to mindlessly join the fray, but his better sense told him to stop. Not to get involved when more warriors and apprentices than he could count were already attacking this intruder without so much of thought that, perhaps, all that would impede each other more than anything. Yet clearly there was talking to them either, bee brains were over taken by rage.
Dirt kicked up as with gritted teeth the tom pulled his claws from the ground and launched himself right into the fray, straight to Darkness. But not to attack. Irritation and anger clear, the ginger shield moved in an practiced attempt to clamp his jaws - teeth included - around Darkness' scruff while she was distracted, and drag the mousebrain away from the fray of warriors and apprentices as far as he had to. He would have no care in being careful with the cat, and would make sure to pin the smaller cat under his weight and claws to keep her from escaping. He didn't fancy grounds mindlessly attacking, nor did he fancy intruders get away. Curse this all, he just wanted a calm day.
Unfortunately right as the his jaws clamped down, Darkness had moved just and inch out his reach and slipped away. He let out a soft unexpected growl as he took a few steps after the cat, but ultimately didn't follow. Watching this trouble maker leave, Gingerfrost huffed in irritation. This wasn't the only case of out siders making their way close to camp that he heard off... Were the borders being marked properly? He might have to run enforcing the surrounding area by Pikestar if this kept happening. Letting out a last irritatle huff, his gaze swept over the heap of cats, and the few bodies. Were these even clan cats? He didn't recognise them. Trusting someone would be smart enough to tend to Fawnpaw, Gingerfrost bluntly made his way over to the bodies, briefly sniffing them. They'd have the bury them soon. Getting a start as Foamcoast took care of the blood, the warrior began moving the scattered bodies together, next to each other. He couldn't bury these (three?) alone, should they be buried in the Sleepy Thicket? Or was there some different procedure for presumed outsiders? Unsure once the bodies were gathered together, the ginger tom just... Looked at them for a few heartbeats. So much death these days. At least the mousebrained Darkness was gone, though they might have to keep an eye out in case the killer decided to keep lurking around the border. Such a pain.
