Instantly Mudsplash dropped the whole 'let's-be-intimidating-to-this-poor-tom' act. Their claws sheathed, and they sat down with a soft
oomph.
"Hmm," the feline tched, slightly tilting their head. Although Mudsplash somewhat believed the other, something still nagged at their stomach. "Are you planning on joining or something..?"
As Vixenkit defended the... apparent guest, Mudsplash shook their head.
"You must always make sure, little one. Just because someone
seems nice enough, doesn't mean they always have good intentions. He could've snatched you away and no one would've noticed, for the most part." Mudsplash huffed. Unfortunately, that was kind of true. No one exactly
protected Vixen from the sire- he could've taken Vixenkit and be halfway out of the territory before the first clanmate had noticed.
With a wary look at the kittypet, they looked at Vineglow for a long moment. What would've happened if no one had noticed the unknown visitor? Then they focused their gaze back to their guest.
"Hmm. Why would a kittypet leave their home? What made you want to come in the first place? I don't remember Sparrowstar ever saying she invited a kittypet over. She would've had a valid reason."
Suspicion radiated off of Mudsplash like a wave, their stare scrunching into an uncertain gaze. "And you're
sure Sparrowstar invited you over. All the way here from your home?"
