Flamepaw yawned and realized that Brightkit was being held by a stranger in camp. Widening her eyes, Flamepaw quickly snuck up behind Carl, ready to pounce. I have to fix my mistake, I should have noticed!

Going to the rogue's side, Flamepaw unsheathed her claws. Despite the fact that Mapleleaf has yet to teach her how to fight, the least she could do was try to get Brightkit free.

"Let her go!" she yowled as she attempted to unbalance the rogue and make him drop the kit by pouncing on top of him. If Sparrowstar wanted to keep the rogue prisoner, it would be a dangerous situation. Who would be guarding the prisoner's den? If she pinned the rogue, it could allow for one of her Clanmates to grab him and place him in the prisoner's den.
