Copperfire listened contently to what Sparrowstar - he was glad to hear everything had gone to plan, though there was no reason it shouldn't have - had to say. Many returning cats, which was always good. Hopefully, they'd either make up for lost time in their efforts to help the clan or get lost again and just not return this time.

And then the deceased cats were mentioned, usual for meetings, but one of the names left a bitter taste on his tongue. Copperfire diverts his eyes to his paws, idly shuffling them until the meeting continued with the next announcements. Somewhere in the back of his mind a voice chants about how unfair Cindersky's fate was.

He started paying attention once more as the outsider was confirmed to be joining their clan. Crocus was his name apparently, but Copperfire suspected that that would be changing. Everyone that had been surrounding him had left or otherwise backed off, but the red tom would still be keeping an eye on Crocus. They couldn't just trust every outsider that came by claiming to want to join the clan.
