High Rank Announcement [#hrannouncement] Well, it certainly seemed like the kits were enthused enough… Crocus looked a touch confused, but that was to be expected when entering into a new situation. Clearing her throat, Sparrowstar glanced down to the aforementioned cats with a small grin. This would be an important day in their lives and she was proud to be the one to initiate it.
"Crowkit [ @SpiritedWarrior ] and Hazelkit [ @NinjaBloss ], you have reached 6 moons of age and as you both know that marks the beginning of your days as apprentices in Thunderclan. From this day forwards, until you receive your warrior names you will be known as Rainpaw and Hazelpaw."
“Bumbleflight [ @Ritsuka ], you have proven yourself to be an attentive and loyal warrior. I believe you are ready to take on an apprentice. Rainpaw will be yours to train, and I am certain you will pass on all you know.”
“Rainhound [ @marina ] while your first apprentice has disappeared, I am certain you will give Hazelpaw no such reason to run off. Train them hard, and train them well. I look forward to seeing your efforts rewarded.”
Giving each of the newly appointed apprentices and their mentors a nod of encouragement, the tan molly turned to the former kittypet.
"Crocus [ @neptune ]. While you are a new face to this clan, I look forward to seeing what kind of warrior you will grow to be. Learn the ways of this clan, and I'm sure you'll do great things. From this day forth until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Crocuspaw. Mudsplash [ @friendlyghostz ], I expect you to train him thoroughly and pass on everything you've learned during your own time in Thunderclan. And remove his collar. There will be no more need for reminders of his past as he grows into one of Thunderclan's own."
Now onto the reassignments. Several of Thunderclan’s apprentices needed new mentors to continue their training if they were to ever join the ranks of warriors in this clan.
“Several of our apprentices require new mentors, and I will make this brief as there are a fair number of you.
Thunderpaw [ @Courage ] your training will be continued by Lakestorm [ @Lakestorm ]
Finchpaw [ @Catrina ] Goldleaf [ @Gay'Fluff ] will be your new mentor
Lavendermask [ @QueenOtter ] I expect you to train Ravenpaw [ @Starfall ] thoroughly as you return to warrior duties.
Acornpaw [ @lucidense ] will be trained by Leafnight [ @Apollo. ]
Sparkflower [ @moonyy ] I expect you to finish up Flamepaw’s [ @SpiritedWarrior ] training
Dawnpaw [ @Wintersun ] you will continue your training with Softshadow [ @Kunaiskrill ]
Wisteriapaw [ @QueenOtter ], Cloudspots [ @Cherry~ ] will be your new mentor
Stormwind [ @Fenixwolf ], you will be finishing Stormpaw’s [ @~SilverShine~ ] training.
And finally, Sharppaw [ @Firebender ] you will continue your training with Russetflare [ @forest ]”
Huffing a sigh as she reached the end of her list, Sparrowstar allowed the apprentice a moment to meet their new mentors. Paws crossed these one's would stick around long enough for them to become warriors. Thunderclan had several apprentices that were more than ready for their ceremonies and only needed their assessments completed, but a quick glance towards the distraught Emberpaw below her stayed her tongue. If there was no progress before the next meeting with her and Softpaw then she’d address it, but for now she would let the young cat grieve before finishing up her announcements.
