Oops, stealth mission fail. At least Sparrowstar was happy! Roosterflame grinned like a fool as he watched Sparrowstar take in her freshly cleaned and decorated den, very happy that she was happy.
To be quite honest, seeing the joy in her eyes was enough for Roosterflame, he couldn’t have asked for anything better in return.
“Well, considering that you’re our brand new leader- and that you let me back in to ThunderClan with little consequence- I thought that it was about time this den got cleaned up! I don’t think this den’s really had a deep cleaning since it was made, and that was…” He calculated, “…I think that was six leaders ago. Seven, if you count Dogbark’s short stint on the throne,” He explained, “This den was definitely overdue for a sprucing up.”
He looked her in the eye, almost seeing the inner turmoil as she weighed what she could possibly do in return, though it was more of a guess, as Roosterflame had many talents, but telepathy was not one of them.
“And before you ask, no, there’s nothing I want in return, just making you happy was enough for me, that coupled with the fact that I got to come back to ThunderClan and live here again.”
He looked around the den once more, admiring his work,
“Sometimes, it’s just nice getting to make others happy and do nice things for them. The joy of getting fades, the joy of giving lasts a lifetime,” He grinned. He knew he was being extremely cheesy, but he didn’t mind, his words came from the heart, he wouldn’t say them if they didn’t, “Anyways, I’ll get out of your fur, have a wonderful afternoon, Sparrowstar,” He purred.
And with that, he made for the exit.
