The kit watched Ducknose eagerly, waiting for him to leave the nursery and go off on what was probably a super awesome warrior mission! Her eyes were wide with admiration as she watched the warrior. |
Ducknose smiled widely, telling himself he'd have to memorize each and everything he'd see in-between visits.
"I will," they promised over their shoulder, laughter brightening their eyes.
"See you soon, Mistlekit." With that, they turned back around and padded through the nursery.
He had half a mind to go looking for bugs immediately, the excitement that had taken Mistlekit at the mention of the little things propelling his paws towards the camp entrance. But he had responsibilities to get to, too. He might've helped out the queens by bringing some moss for fresh nests, but that didn't mean he was done for the day.
Duties first, they told themself,
and then bugs later.
