His claws came down on something cold and slightly squishy, but alive so naturally he killed it. He couldn't really see what he was hunting due to the overgrown plants, but when he stepped back out he found he had caught a rather strange-looking creature. Leechscar had only heard stories about them and he was pretty certain that it was ShadowClan prey. A frog?

Could WindClan eat frogs? Welp he had caught it, so someone had better eat it. It was leaf-fall and the clan couldn't be picky about what he brought home. He dropped the dead frog alongside the dead mouse and scowled at how measly the prey he caught looked. He caught sight of Squirrelear's tail as he went off hunting for whatever. Leechscar decided to see if he could find one more prey to hunt to make up for how small his catches were.

This time he chose to stay closer to rocks, scenting the air, his nose twitched as he caught something musky in scent. Following the scent around a bolder, he found a large... mouse(?) with a strangely long tail eating an insect? Who knew there were so many strange preys in WindClan, Leechscar should try hunting here in the future. Rise and repeat, the warrior slid into a crouch and then sprung once he crept close enough. He sunk his fangs into the back of its neck, catching it by surprise, and ended its life without much trouble.

Once it was dead, Leechscar took a moment to stare long and hard at the prey before finally deducing that what he has caught wasn't a mouse but a rat, another creature he's only heard stories about. Mice don't get that big.... right? Grabbing the critter by its grossly long tail, he padded back over to his small pile and then thought better as he noticed Squirrelear return. The massive gray tom padded straight over to the older warrior and dropped his mouse-rat(?) nearby him.

"I caught whatever this thing is, a mouse, and..." He trailed off, padding off to retrieve the two smaller prey he caught. "Whatever that is." He dropped what he was half certain was a frog alongside the mouse-rat(?), obviously not entirely happy that he wasn't certain what he caught. "The clan can eat these?" He questioned, obviously wanting to know if he have to go hunting again for more familiar prey or not.
Squirrelear blinked at the prey that Leechscar presented. A mouse, a frog, and a rat... What a strange pile. It looked more like what ShadowClan would eat, but eh, it was prey. He wasn't gonna complain. It should be enough to fill some cats, even if it didn't look the most... Appetizing. It was his first real look at a rat and a frog, despite hearing about them and seeing them at a distance but... Huh.

"That is a rat," Squirrelear said, nodding towards the little trash eater that now lay dead at their paws. "And that's a frog. Should be good for a meal, even if it doesn't look the best. Given it's almost leafbare, we don't have the liberties to complain on what our food looks like. Prey is prey, and if it can be eaten it serves it's purpose. Ready to head out?" Once he finished speaking, Squirrelear grabbed his pigeon by the wing and the squirrel by the tail and looked at Leechscar expectantly, eager to return to camp.
