It almost didn’t feel real. Like he was having some nightmare, sent from the Dark Forest to taunt him about his ambitions for the deputyship. He wanted to be deputy, but not at such an early cost of Slatewhisker’s life. The… former… deputy had so much left to give.
Slatestripe decided to sit back quietly to give those who were closer to Slatewhisker their space to grieve. He bowed his head respectfully, praying that StarClan would watch over them all.
