Re: RiverClan Clearing
Has the storm finally passed? Cricketsting was lost in his own little world as he blocked the yowling from crawling into his ears. When finally out of his mind-world, he realized that the mourning was wrapping up and Pikestar stated that Slatewhisker will be buried. Watching the leader drag the dead body of a high rank made Cricketsting sick to the stomach. He almost vomited when he remembered that the body was ignored as a fight went between a cat with a hollow heart and others who wanted to mourn in peace. Is this really a life for him? Reluctantly watching deaths go by while traitors, attention-seekers, and chaos-causers enter the show to create unnecessary harmful things did not spell out “Clan life”. Instead, it spelt out something way worse, and it seemed that most cats cannot read the warning.
Sliding his eyes to the direction of the sounds of dragging paws, he spotted Littlepaw. Cricketsting saw the maw of the apprentice move, but he did not hear whatever she just said. Poor Littlepaw, she got to deal with what happened. Just like how Littlepaw wished good luck to everyone quietly, Cricketsting wished her good luck silently.
Getting up, he pondered if he should go to the Thicket for the burial. There are cats in here that needed some cheering, he thought. Finally, he decided to stay behind and listed some jokes -of course, jokes that don’t relate to death or anything offensive- that could be use to cheer up anyone who seemed down.
