Mapleleaf was a little embarrassed for spilling out all the information at once onto her leader and dipped her head in apology. But when she looked up, Sparrowstar was... smiling? It was not quite the reaction the calico tabby expected from the tan and brown she-cat, but welcome nonetheless. Sparrowstar then went on to say Mapleleaf would become a queen in the next meeting. That wasn't too far off. Well, at least it was happening. I'll keep it a secret from Thunderblaze so it could turn out to be a surprise.

"Thank you, Sparrowstar. I really wish I could assist you and the rest of ThunderClan like the other warriors, but it seemed like StarClan had other plans," she let out a small chuckle and then dipped her head. "I won't be telling Thunderblaze about it if that's okay. I would like it to be a surprise. I'll figure out how to tell him that Rainfall will be nursing them."

Not much more could be said by her, so she waited to see if Sparrowflight was alright with her idea of a surprise.

Her grin widened marginally as Mapleleaf explained her plan.

"My lips are sealed," she chuckled, whiskers twitching in amusement. "He won't hear a peep out of me until it's announced at the meeting. Do you have any other questions?"

Surprises were always an amusing thing to be a part of, so the tan molly was more than happy to withhold this information for Mapleleaf. Paws crossed her mate would welcome the news since the first time he'd hear would be at a public meeting... Well, no time for overthinking. This was just a nice gesture.
